Land survey cost

Hey all,

Looking to purchase some land, about 2 acres on lake, and curious if anyone has had land surveyed recently and what it cost. Drawing up an offer and this might affect the final offer. 

I’ll probably reach out to the county land assessor tomorrow and see if they have a rough idea but I’m not sure.

I would just call the the county and see who the County Surveyor is.  That's what I have done.  They are already familiar with the area.  It will be a company that they use.

Just curious if we are talking $1k vs $5K..

I found one marker and maybe 2. Getting the OHW will be the biggest concern.

I called a company here in International Falls last year after buying this place. I was pretty much just looking for them to locate the pins so I knew where the property lines where. Over the phone they quoted me $2,800.00 they didn't get the job, I didn't need to know that bad.

Buy a cheap metal detector at Fleet farm or Harbor fright for under $100 to find the pins!

I’ve looked at the GIS map of the area and I now the overlay is off quite a bit but the GPS holds true? This is a good idea. Should get me pretty close.

Within 9 feet so not legal but close.  And that is at the best.
