Just went and checked the Rapids.  That is where the Rapid River flows north into the Rainy River.  Didn't have a lot of flow last week but is really flowing now.  It is pretty loud when by it too.  Also the Rainy came up enough that my dock is floating.   :happy1:  Still a lot of snow on shore by it though.

Oh ya they were with.  I keep them away from the water cuz where we were at there is a big rock wall that we are on.  This is where the sturgeon come to spawn.  Suckers too but at a different time.

Miss those days. Gus & I would jump in the old Dodge & drive around. Gus was a big, furry Border Collie who rode shotgun. Always had one ear up & one ear down. People laughed when they saw us coming.

Stude might come out of hibernation tomorrow.  :happy1:

Naw Boar,I do "DRIVE ABOUTS" often, yesterday as a matter of fact,my golden Duce loves it,we did a pit stop at our local game farm, let the boy out in some scrub field corn, within 30 seconds he flushed a chucker and came running back to me with a quail still alive...lol

checked out a couple local lake launches whilst scouting for turkies/bear snooping around north metro area, most local lakes are ice free, big marine is still iced over, shoreline is open out about 10yds.

For years every Sunday night after supper I would grab the dog and drive the backroads listening to Bear Fact & Fishtails on the radio.
