We had a great youth hunt at camp Near and "Deer last week".  Keeping with a tradition we started a few years back, several new young hunters were invited to hunt the youth deer season in hopes of getting their first deer. It ended up being more than we hoped for.  Thursday morning My brother in law's 15 year old niece shot her first ever deer, a button buck. It was very exciting to see her bag her first deer.
Friday evening my brother in law's 13 year old nephew shot his first buck (he had previously killed a doe). He shot a 212 pound 10 pointer. Great deer for your first buck! Very excited hunter for sure.
On Saturday evening my friends grandson shot his first deer, a small bucks sporting 5 points. Again, another very happy hunter who was still smiling on Sunday when he got to help skin and quarter the deer.

***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***

You are the best dude!!!!  You Hopefully have helped get our youth into the sport of deer hunting.  You are a great example to all of us fellow hunters.

This photo popped up in my Facebook memories from last year.  Terrell still talks about finally getting his 1st deer.  Thanks a bunch Larry!!!
