Will the guys who had to be rescued get a bill from city, county or state?
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

One heck of a heroic rescue.  Those guys weren't getting out alone.  BUT Choices in life is the issue here.  AND how much others have to risk save you from those bad choices.  AND the deputy making the choice to risk himself to save them.  SALUTE SALUTE SALUTE  to him.

Never a bad idea this time of year to take your throw floatable from your boat and have a good rope tied to it sitting in your truck. I am already driving around looking at the ice. Might as well be prepared. Those guys are lucky for that brave deputy.

I reckon with all the guff those guys put up with from hoodlum types who are trying to get away with stuff, those deputies were probably pleased to have the training and opportunity to help someone out (stupid decisions aside) and maybe even save a life or two.  Well done.
