Tomorrow and the rest of the week is supposed to be upper 50's. I wish it would stay like it has for another 6 weeks, 40 during the day and 20's at night, late ice fishing is my favorite time of the year.

I too wished it would stay like it has.  I was hoping to get out ice fishing more, but with all the projects I've got going-I won't be getting out anyhow.  :(   All I can do is hope & pray that next year it freezes up better/stronger/faster than last year!   ;)

Calling for high of 56 here today with isolated thunderstorms. Looks like temps in the upper 50s-lower 60s for next 10 days with rain Sun- next Thurs. Hope its not too much rainfall...we need this melting snow to go away before we add too much more to it.

I remember a Memorial Day weekend a few years back.. Left the Cities around 4AM, got to Finland, MN around 7AM.. Going down the road to our favorite walleye lake it started to flurry... We launched the boat about 8AM,, by 8:45AM you couldn't see the shoreline because it was snowing so hard,, temp was 35.. We quit fishing around 10AM with the snow still coming down, but we were happy.. Had 3 limits of eyes all above 2# but less than 3#.. No matter what we used the fish bit; minnows, leeches, crawlers, even cranks and spoons.. We stopped at the Tresle Inn off 7, had a few tap Molsons and contiued to GM... That was a bad weather trip..  :) hey quill, that sounds like a typical minnesota opener weekend . this is the kind of weather pattern that makes it a memorable time, but one you wont soon forget . good luck in your fishing trips!
