I was up north this weekend and played 9 holes with my dad at the Mesaba country club in Hibbing.  The course was in pretty decent shape for April.  There were some dead areas on the greens, but I'm sure it will be fine in a couple of weeks.

I switched to a new set of irons this year and I must have been in a hurry when I was changing them in my bag.  I got to the course and realized that I did not have a putter.  I took it out with the rest of my old irons and never put it back in the bag.  I had a chance for birdie on the first hole then three putted.  I guess it was good that I already had an excuse for my poor play on the greens.

Ryan,

We should play sometime soon, I haven't been out yet or even hit the range. I have been swinging my Medicus in the yard on and off all winter.

What kind of Irons did you buy? I play with Taylor Made OS Racs (Graphite) Taylor Made R7 Driver, Cleveland 52 degree wedge (steel), Adams 15 degree 3 wood and a Nike Putter.

Spent a lot of cash last year on new equipment. ;D

Just don't ask me to go this week, I left my clubs up north.  I have to go up there again next weekend anyway.

I should have said the irons are new to me.  My brother got new irons and I was trying out his old ones.  I have been looking at the Calloway Big Bertha irons for a couple of years now.  One of these days I am actually going to buy them.  I can play with just about any club and the result is always the same so I am in no hurry.  I played with a set up womens clubs once last year and still shot my normal 18 over.  I have been stuck on the same score for the last 15 years, I think I need to get out and practice more.
