Having your little girl pump a picture of bin ladin full of holes with a semi-auto handgun?

I can just see when the anti gun people get ahold of this

Showing us teaching our young in this manner

Makes us gun owners look like a bunch of idiots

Who really gives a crap?  I for one am tired of having to  alter (censor) a post so the PC crowd does not get offended.  Screw em!  I'd be the 1st to volunteer to kill that SOB.  We are at war, no different than during WWII and wanting to kill Hitler or Tojo ::50cal::

The antis will take any angle they can get a foot hold onto.  Give em an inch and they'll take a mile.  I say fly under the radar so they leave us alone and we can enjoy our sports without their noses in our business.
Just my 2 cents.
If ya don't know where ya are, go back to da beginnin.

All I know is if she ever does get a shot at him she will most likely whack him and the whole country will love her for it. I don?t promote violence but if she wants to shoot him that?s her choice  ;)

But seriously, my kids would not and are not allowed to shoot at human targets or silhouettes . It puts the thought of kill on the brain verses accuracy or sport shooting

Shooting at human targets is a bit creepy and prly not the best for child development, but if you have to shoot at someone... :bandana:

I don't want my kids shooting at any humanlike targets.  Even if it is a picture of a terrorist.  I would rather have them shoot at box.

Well, I know alot of people who are upset at images like this. when they displayed on our news

This video is much the same.

Kids should be watching cartoons, playing with their friends, eating ice cream. Those are the things kids should be thinking about.

Not putting thoughts into their head about helping grow that hate for other people., killing, shooting, bombing, Etc.

It's funny how more people would let their teenager watch a show where someone gets their head blown off or something like and yet if their was a bare breast being shown. They would ban them from watching it.

It's better to see killing, then a part of the human body.

Myself, I would rather my teenage son be thinking about breasts than wacking someone with a hollow point.

teaching hate, thats whats went on over in the middle east since before Christ. They teach their kids from young on, that certain people are to be hated, even killed in some cases.

It's sad, but I believe this is what 911 has done for this country. It has brought the hate from the middle east to America. This isn't something thats going to go away. It's here to stay.

All I can say is, seeing kids being taught this can't be good for our future.

Buff: I agree with you 100%. That hatred thats being taught and fomented will be around for 100's of years.
Not to be provacative, but I was wondering what some of the other posters would have said if that little girl had been shooting at a picture of bush?

I've had enough of the sensitivity training in our schools. I see nothing wrong with knowing who wants to see you and yours wiped from the earth.

I am tired of all this PC crap that is going on in this country.  If you think we can't have a war here on our soil you are deluding yourself.  Our kids need to know how to defend themselves.  What is wrong with shooting at a picture of someone really evil?  America's children today for the most part are clueless when it comes to anything but video games and cell phones.  It is up to us to make sure they know that there are evil people in the world and if they are not stopped, can end their precious way of life, including liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  If we don't protect our way of life, this country could end up poor and helpless with no economy and no freedoms at all.  I am not condoning hate or prejudice, but we know Bin Laden is evil, just like we knew Hitler was evil.  Come on people... wake up and smell the napalm.
Shut up and Shoot

I don't know what the age of the girl is but I figure that if she was 12, the age I graduated to something besides a bb gun, that it is fine. Me and my daughters mother had this debate tonight and we both agreed that we see nothing wrong with it. Its just a target. If she doesn't know any better than she shouldn't be shooting a gun.......

I could really care less if she is shooting a box or a terrorist. This has been blown way out of proportion in my opinion.

 She's "9 YEARS OLD"

You don't have to wonder why this country is so screwed up!!

She can't even buy a handgun for another 12 years.

In my opinion, she shouldn't even be handling the gun, much less shooting it.

THEY PUT RESTRICTIONS ON HOW OLD YOU HAVE TO BE TO HUNT CERTAIN GAME, TO BE ABLE TO TAKE HUNTERS SAFTEY. TO BUY A GUN, FOR A REASON!!!

I don't think Bin Ladin should be something a 9 year old needs to be worring herself with.

I was born in the mid 60s, vietnam erra. If my dad had, had me out at 9 years old shooting picture of Vietnamese with a pistol. I serously don't think I would have continued to be raised my him. If anybody found out about it.

Let's say one of your kids 9 year old friends came over to your house. You didn't know the parents and the 9 year old says. Ya, my dad had me out shooting picture of Bin Ladin with a 15 shot Glock. Ya, I shot him as fast as I could pull the trigger..it was cool.

I doubt you would continue to let your son or daughter play with this kid.

If you would, I serously question your parenting skills

Then again, we have a society of kids that are being raised by single parents and broken homes about 60-70% of the time now.

Maybe thats why our opinions differ. My parents been married for over 50 years. I have three sisters. They have all been married to their same husbands for 25 years or more and I have been married for 24 years to my loving wife.

I can't get on youtube here at work so I haven't seen this video, but based on what I gather from the comments I have to agree with Buff on this. At 9 or 12 they shouldn't be bothering themselves with the tragedies in the world. When I was that age I would go to school and come home and play with my friends outside. I probably watched the news twice a year and learned current events in school.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a child that age shooting a gun while supervised. They should however be shooting at a standard target.

IF  a child is taught to repect guns,  the chance of them wanting to snope and  play with them is greatly reduced. i will be training my little guys  when they hit around 9 . my oldest had a gun saftey class in the scouts  at a real young age as well . he is now19 and has had no problems  with guns  and the what and what not to do with them. he repects them , treats them as if they are all loaded  and never points ANY gun at anyone or anything he doesnt intend on killing.
This is why i love this site . everyone gets to voice their opinion  without it being  deleted . how cool is this . i think that it is good and healthy tohear from antigunners  as well as those of us that  respect the right of a parent to teach their children right !!
Keep up the great work MNO and the great staff..          SCOTT
