My wife likes her walleye cooked on the barbie.. I use a cooking screen over the grill,, oil the fillets with olive oil,, place on hot screen skin side down, sprinkle on lemon pepper, put a tent of alum foil on top and cook until fillet flakes... My fillets aren't too thick so cooking time is about 3 to 5 mins on a hot grill.. QG

Salmon fillets skin side down with a little teriyaki.  Grill till the skin is crisp and slide that spatula between the skin and the fillet to remove.

Blackened Grilled Halibut this the shizzy too.

Where is a good place to get Halibut my buddies sister lives in Alaska but I never get to get any. I think I'm going to have to plan a fishing trip up there in the next couple years if I can fund that kind of a Vacation.

That would be a sweet vacation.

Costco had it for 7.99/lb
Super Target carries it.

I just get the frozen stuff or packaged stuff.  Nothing fancy.

If anyone knows of a good way to get it fresh like flown in daily let me know.

I looked up Pike Place Market and they have links to a few of the seafood merchants web sites.  You can order Halibut online.  You can order a lot more than that online if you have a small fortune.  I requested shipping info cuz the prices were per pound 14.99-15.99 which didn't include shipping.  Ill report when Im contacted.

Aside from spending an arm and a leg on fish Im going to give the Costco stuff a shot to see if is any good for 7.99.

Ive had the stuff they sell at Super Target and I thought that was top notch.  Maybe not 'caught that day' fresh but pretty darn good.

There are 2 places in St. Paul that get Halibut in daily.  Whole Foods on Grand Ave. and Costal Seafood on Snelling.  You'll pay though, last I checked it was $19.99 per pound.  It's steep but it really doesn't compare to frozen.
