The new crew has been assembled for Denny Hamlin's #11 FedEx Express pit crew team:

Dennis Terry moves from back tire changer to front tire changer
Jonathan Sherman (New from JGR #20 Busch team and #96 HOF Cup team) takes over as the rear tire changer
Scott Wood moves from Gas Man to Jack Man
Brad Rothlin (New from JGR #18 Busch team) takes over as Gas Man
Scott Merritt (new from #18 Busch team) comes in as the front tire carrier
Heath Cherry remains the rear tire carrier
John Eicher remains the catch can man

These changes come after Hamlin expressed his frustration this past weekend at Darlington after he gave up the lead when his front tire changer dropped several lug nuts during the last pit stop of the race.

Although he rallied to finish second, he was furious after Sunday's race. "If we lose by 20-30 points when it comes down to the championship, we know exactly where we lost it, and that's on pit road," said Hamlin, who could have won three or four races this season if not for mechanical problems or mistakes on pit road. I gave away Phoenix, that's my fault. But there's two to three other races that we had the best car most all day, and even at the end, and just gave it away on pit road. Today was a prime example of that."
