Anyone have any idea how long can I have a duck in the freezer and have it still be good enough to mount.  in other words, if all I am doing is getting it mounted... is there a point where having it in the freezer too long is bad?  I have a nice full bar across the breast greater scaup and a nice full plumage hooded merganser.  just don't have the cash to get them done right now.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

I have heard of guys keeping them for over a year. I have never mounted a bird but I'll ask at work tomarrow for you and let you know. I work at Sportsman's Warehouse so I am sure someone will know. My only suggestion is that you do it soon B4 you spend all you money on steel shot!!!
