I wasn't able to get out, but when I was driving ion from Hastings to St. Paul this morning about 7am, a flock of about 15 or 20 locked up on a field next to hwy 55 by the golf course and I watched in my rear view mirror as 3 of them fell when they got over the field.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

I had to work till seven am saturday morning, so I scouted a hayfield in Andover adj to a sod field, watched the crew sky bust a flock that was wanting to work. They circled back and went into a field I have, walked into the house, grabbed the dog, a handful of 3 1/2 fours and the Extrema 2 made the stalk and whacked three of em.

Sunday morning found myself, drew and another buddy up in Monticello at 4 am setting decoys up, birds flew late from the river, we cleaned house and took a bunch of doves and came home. Lots of flocks of fairly large families up here, all flying from water to water, basically ended up running traffic.

Monday morning I hit another field with a buddy up in Big Lake, lot tougher shooting, but four birds decoyed into the Kill hole like a dream four rounds of Black Cloud Deuces and they were napping, we only shot two or three doves that day.

Heres a couple quick pics, I have to start taking more pictures.

Heres The Stringer Line Running up towards the kill hole in Monti:

Monday night I set up in the backyard scouting, adjacent to the sodfields from saturday, saw some birds working it over somewhat, nothing to really get excited about. Its going to be a great late season field, atleast it was last year. I scouted it last year and saw a ton of birds but couldnt get on it because someone was hunting it. I walked over to the landowner and bsed for a while and worked out a deal for the exclusive rights of his property, not messin around this year with sharing fields. Threw out a few trail cameras for bowhunting, backed the trailer up to where his property meets mine and went to bed, 4:09 comes early, breakfast for three, got all the full bodies put out about 6:11. Had three flocks come in from 4 -15 birds, lights out for 12.

Just getting in from grinding em up and mixing, doing sticks after fire drill and the hunt in the morning.

Pretty typical early season, lots of birds not really wanting to work real well, warm ok hot temperatures and lots of skeeters. It was so hot that were breasting the birds at the field, wasnt going to risk the chance of spoilage before I got home.
