DULUTH - Fisherman?s Corner, Scott, 7 miles north of Miller Mall on Hwy 53 (218-729-5369) The crappies are starting to move into 1-1 ? feet of water on the smaller lakes, Lura, Grand and Caribou have been the best. Suckers are running heavy with anglers spearing them from the Beaver River and Rice Lake. The walleye spawn is just getting over. Lake Superior has been very tough fishing recently, but coho fishing still remains very good in front of the river, the further North you go is better for steelhead.

DULUTH - Marine General, 1501 London Road, on the edge of Lake Superior (218-724-8833) Crappies are in shallow water on Fish Lake. The St. Louis River has slowed down for crappies this week with the colder weather. A few trout and salmon are biting on stickbaits in Superior entry and Park Point. A few steelheads are coming in from Knife River, Lester River and Sucker. The local area lakes are done spawning for walleyes.
