I think you are right about the crappies. I went there when I was young with my Dad and my Uncle. They are both crappie fanatics so I am sure that is what we must of been there for. I also recall a friend fishing there with a canoe back in about 1996 for Bass. Claimed it was a great bass lake. I also remember maybe catching a couple small walleyes when I was really young but I can't confirm that. Just tried to call my Dad on this lake and wasn't around. If I get more info I will let you know.

Went out on X mas Lake.  The ice was 5 inches thick and the bite was aok.  The bait shop by 101 is closed.  Had to go to gas station at xmas lake road.  They do not sell 1 gallon propane gas bottles. They will fill a 5 gallon.
