Exceptional Music Event

Hey I went to a exceptional music event last night. 

The Cabooze has an event called "Cash Only" - all Johnny Cash music with multiple bands. I think they have been doing this for 10 years or more. I had never heard of it. It was great. I'm wondering if anyone else was at this.

I'm kicking myself. I should have said something about it. I just found out about yesterday from my wife-she has a client who is a promoter and said to be sure and go. I believe it's an annual event so next January.

It's funny I used to go to the Cabooze a lot. When I was in school I lived over on Chicago and Bloomington. I would often walk home from the U around 11 or 12 at night and usually stop in at the Cabooze or Joint on the way home. Two weeks ago some friends told us about this great event at the Cabooze where they reenact "The Last Waltz" the concert and the movie featuring The Band and numerous celebrity musicians. It all done with local musicians. It was fantastic. That was the first time I'd been in there in years. What a blast. That's another annual concert. Put that one on your calendar too.

I have gone the last 4 years.  Rich Matson is my favorite.  I did not go this year to save a few bucks and because it is so packed it is almoszt impossible to get a beer and watch the show.  Oh and it was so cold I stayed in.  Glad you got to see it.
