I would call them Fire Flies because of the almost firetiger pattern.

Those look real cool! 

I took my wife ice fishing with our four kids yesterday.  It was the first time she has ever been out (ice fishing).  We had our 5 year old daughter and our three year old daughter with (it was their first time too).  It was a little crazy with three newbies out there with me and our two sons (who are almost pros).  The girls lasted about 45 minutes.  We had a lot of bites, one even broke my 5 year old girls line.  Anyways, it was fun.  When we stopped for supper for a quick bite, my wife said she wants to try fly fishing this spring/summer.  So, I may have to consult with you on what equipment we will need.

Awesome looking flies. They make me wish I hadn't sold my fly rod years ago. I suppose you could still work those on spinning tackle with some light line and a tiny bobber with a long leader. Not the same as a fly rod, but workable.

This one is so cool and I would call it "The Blushing Bride."

I have seen lots of people fly fish without a fly rod, you can do it with any rod.. Yep a small bobber or one of them floating balls work well too, sorry i do not know the proper name of them, but come in orange green and yellow i think. I also have seen floating tubes as well..

I test all my own flies, i have a few of them that caught nothing lol...that lay in the bottom of a tub.
