With so many things out there to use on the shelves. What advice would you give to a newer fisher person, on what to stock in the tackle box for pan fish?

For crappies, crappie minnows of course. Everything else, nightcrawlers and a small hook.

That is a very fun to fish with! You never know what you might get. I also have always loved a small beetle spin!

As far as sunfish I am using small hair jigs, flies, small plastics, plain hook works just fine and maybe even small ice jigs/hooks.

For bait I like to use waxworms, panfish leeches, corn and worms.

NG your small flys should work great in the early spring when the fish are spawning or when there in the shallows, i use a small jig with those crappie like tubes those work great, also small hook slip bobber and a worm or waxworm but i have found that they seem to prefer a nightcrawler in the summer instead of a waxworm

"Jarbaits" are great, I really like the Pink and chartreuse glow gulp, I could probably be just as happy with them or waxworms. I've used the crappie niblets too, they are ok, but I dont really care for how they melt in the water, touchem and you better not touch anything else before you rinse either.

I dont care for any spray attractants, think there all just a gimmick and have no place for them in my tackle bags.

Back to jarbaits, that Berkely Gulp will last forever too. Well worth the money they charge for the stuff.

I got a friend that uses WD40 for cat fishing, he has never out fished me while using it, but, he has never been skunked either.
