Well my oh my....I'm been just kickin' back all week sunning myself by the pool, having a few margarita's and would you just look at where I ended up?!!!    Oh, what's the matter...you can't quite see me from so far down below??    Oh you poor, poor babies!! 

Well, it's raining here today....I do hate to fish in the rain...I think I will go get myself a manicure, I seem to have chipped one of my nails, and I have so much shopping to do, oooh and a massage, now that is going to be a perfect end to another glorious day....That's okay though, my partner doesn't seem to mind fishing in the rain...AAAAHHHHH, IT'S GOOD TO BE TEAM #1!  It sure is a lot of tough work though, I just don't think most of you boy's could handle it as well as me!!

Well it's about time the Lodge started to get some fishing in,    With work getting in the way    we have not been able to take vacations or get our nails done. Been letting the fish fatten up before we let them start jumpin in our boat.  By my count I see only nine fish on the board with over fifty fishermen. or at least they say they are fishermen.. been pretty quiet from those who were claiming the top spot before the challenge started only now to be very quiet.. must be to much  at the cabin...   soon you will all be just looking for some

I think I'll just sit back for awhile and let other people catch fish......it seems to work for GG.

GG, if ya get a pedicure, don't dangle um off of the dock.....pike like shinny painted things!

The last time out fishing for me was pretty terrible.  I see GG finally bottled that stench from under her armpits and had hunter smell it.  I have no problem losing to Ken......at least he takes pictures of his own fish.   The can of whoop a$$ has already been pourd on GG and can not be removed.  Next I'm going to dump a whole livewell full of whoop a$$ on GG.

One good thing though....It burned all of my nose hairs off and cleared my sinus's right up!
But, I did loose my site for about an hour.

Man, JackpineRob sure posted a big whopper yesterday!!  NICE FISH Jackpine!!  But, Whew!  Good thing for all of the rest of us that he didn't have it posted next to a tape measurer!!!   Too bad for "Mighty Team Twelve" though...   Y'all could of used those extra inches!  And I am SO not ready to give up my throne....being #1 rocks!!  Get use to the view from down there boys!!!!

And just for the record Jenny-I have already offered more than once for that fish to be removed because I didn't want it to be unfair to others, and I didn't want to hear any whining about it  , but coming from you..I should have exspected it!!    I'm surprised you waited this long to bring it up!  Also I have already caught a bigger walleye then the one I posted I just didn't get a good enough picture of it...next time I will make sure I do it EXACTLY the way they requested.  I think I was the first person to even put up a fish, and the rules were not exactly quite in place yet.  Excuses..Excuses...I know...BUT, you guys all know how it is "WOMEN GET AWAY WITH EVERYTHING"!!   Now quit your bitchin' and get fishin' girlfriend!!

Also I did forget to mention that my husband will be coming home tomorrow night from a fly-in fishing trip up to Canada....I made sure he remembered the tape measurer, so I should have some REALLY nice pictures coming up!!    You all should know by now that I dont fish!! Geez!    Just kidding...um....yeah...I was actually there with him at the beginning of the week for a few days...I'll ah be sure to post some of those pictures um...yeah..tomorrow or wednesday when I got a little more time.  I caught some REALLY nice fish...they are going to put Jackpine's fish to shame...for sure!!

GG don't worry I'll make sure you get a green ribbon so you don't get your feelings hurt.  Now your husband can't catch big enough fish for in in MN your sending him to Canada.  I bet he is loving this fishing challenge.  If I was him I'd tell you I didn't catch anything either just to see where the next place is you'll tell him to go.  Possibly a Lake Michigan trip for walleye.  have a good one GG/ENVY.

...And Jenny, what a very good observation you just made about my husband.  I can't believe I never even thought of that!!    Well, now that I know what he is up to, I'm not going to be falling for crap anymore!!...Now just wait until he get's home!  I'm already p o' ed at him and he isn't even here yet!!  Kinda shoots the nice warm romantic "welcome home" right out the window!!  I will be sure to tell him that YOU are the one that had to clue me in and told me all about his little exursions he's been going on....   I am thinking he just very well might want to hunt you down after he here's about this one!

Don't worry folks.  Plenty more where the last one came from - and we actually debated if it was worth it to abuse the fish any more and try to get measurements and a pic, given the fact it wasn't really a "trophy" type fish.  That's why we measured in the water.  Fun for sure - but not a real monster.  I realized at the time that we probably were screwing up the contest entry, but its not really a big deal - plenty of fish left in the lakes and season to chase after them.

Heck, back in the day if we wanted one of those things I would club it in the water so they didn't make a mess in the boat.  Sure as heck no big ones ever entered a small boat or a canoe alive!  No problems getting pictures and measurements once they're dead.  I'm still using some of the tackle and equipment won in the Fisherman's Headquarters/Pioneer Press fishing contest many years ago, when anything remotely standing a chance of winning prizes or making the front page of the Echo fishing section was killed instantly.  Funny how a guy's perspective changes.....  probably over 10 years since I've actually killed one over 30".

It was still a really nice fish Jackpine...and I don't know if you noticed it or not, but I entered it in, and it is now our picture of the week!  So, I'm really glad you posted it anyway, it looks like it was one heck of a fun day!
