 Yawn... to bad to hear you guys are packing it in. The Lodge has been in cruise controll all season and I am just opening up the tackle box in the Puddle Humper. Good fishing for the next two months for me... :rotflmao:

You tell um Bobby ;).

We've been hangin on at 3rd base for a while now. All we need is a sacrifice fly and we'll be sliding into home for the victory. I was thinking about our victory party over at The Lodge. Should we invite some of the loosing teams to the party? They could like stand at the door and take peoples coats, park cars, and help with some clean-up at the end of the party. :whistling:

gg  :queen: might be good at traffic controll or handling to news media. :reporter;

What a great idea! I think GG would be the perfect person for the part time coat check girl.   :queen: We could get her a few hours in there and then once the dinner starts she could walk around with one of them shoulder strap boxes that hold cigars and thin mints.  Of course she would have to wear some sexy black hip boots. I do like the idea of someone there to park trucks and atv's. I'l have to check the schedule and see if the Lodge has an open night for a dinner and awards party....  Maybe we can do it pro style and we can all get in the Puddle Humper and the losing teams can carry the Puddle Humper on the trailer into the Lodge!   :rotflmao:

:bs: :bs: Coat check girl...my a*s! :banghead:  I'm going to be the one signing autographs, accepting all the awards, free drinks, and signing you all up on GG's guide service for next year!!  ;D

....but I am actually getting kind of fond of the idea of wearing some sexy "blaze orange" hip boots......I think your on to somethin' there!! You guys sure come up with the best ideas sometimes....and my husband should seriously thank you all for that!! ;) He thinks I come up with all this great stuff all on my own!! Who am I to let the cat out of the bag?  I think I'll continue taking the credit...because "why not!"  Seriously though, a big, huge thank you out to you all from my hubby!  You guys ROCK!...(now if you would only learn how to fish, you'd REALLY be on to something here!! lmao!)  :rotflmao:

Well, if GG can wear those stupid blaze orange boots then I can wear my pink ones. We'll see who steals the show around here.

Hmmmm since the Lodge is a team we must stand together. I am having second thoughts though on how Me and Big Slick along with Lee will look in pink hip boots... Something like ZZ Top working the San Fran cafe circuit... Not a pretty picture!  :doah:

Ya Hunter things are looking good. I kind of stayed out of the smack talk. Early in the season there was  a lot of talk of monster crappies to be caught and northerns so big you needed two tapes to measure them. Guess us old guys Big Slick ( well not so old) Lee and myself just do what old fellers do. Just pace ourselves and let our fish do our talking. Another day here and all the lakes will calm down and the weekend warriors will be off chasing birds. Means the water will be open for me and the puddle humper to do our thing. I don't see us in 2nd to much longer. And here I thought this was an outdoors board. 8 teams have not even registered a fish.... GG herself has out fished most people here.. Two months to go.

Are you call'in me old?

Well, your only as old as you feel.........
Or so, I've been told..... :rotflmao:
Besides, I dyed my hair gray....thought it looked more retro..... :rotflmao:

 :bs:

I'll still make it out a few more times, but, I have been hitting it pretty hard!

Just gotta find me a GOOD Bass lake, and at least bring us up a notch or two!

Maybe if the General would stop talk'in politics with Uncle Dave, he'd have time to get out fish'in!

Ya you could use a bass or two, so far the ones you have caught are not even big enough to use as bait!  :whistling:

As the waters cool down, perhaps the time has come to get out in search of a big fish or two...  Normally I hang up the rods after Labor Day, and prepare for the hunting season, but I may have to make an exception this year.

Sorry for the extended absence, but a family trip out to Yellowstone, the attending fall-out at work from being gone, and a few other little items have kept me away.

I've been introducing our new pup to the fishing scene, and so far he seems to be catching on.  Its funny to have him watching the rod tip, and hear the tail start thumping on the seat every time the rod twitches...

I just got up to take a whiz and turned on Fox News and found out Team Masterbaiters has taken over 2nd place and have their eye on first  :doah:. We may have to call up the Ham's truck and cancel our order. I'm calling for a meeting at the lodge to review our strategy. We May have to scale back the partying from Mon, Wed,& Fri. over to Tues, Thurs, & Sat  :puke: .

Things are getting tight up at the top right now and it's getting to be a real dog fight. Some dandy pike are being caught with the best yet to come. Great pike hunter and Doug. By the way Doug, just keep forgetting that bobber pal and another check will be in the mail shortly. :whistling:

Not to Worry Lee, these guys are just killing time waiting for bird season to start. Then fishing will be nothing but a memory to them.. We may be in 3rd now but that will make our come from behind victory all that more impressive!!! Say by the way.. Has anyone seen the  :queen:

:coffee: I heard that she's sitting in her rocker with a shoal around her shoulders and a picture of the kids who all left her for school in her right hand. In her left hand she has a photo of that beautiful walleye she entered way back when the challenge first began in the old days.  :doah:

On her lap she has her fishing rod covered with cobwebs and a printed copy of the Fishing Team Challenge standings from when her team was in first place. For those that don't remember that far back, it is true  :queen: and her crew were really in first place. At least that's what I was told?

Funny how you should mention that Lee. I saw a lady walking the streets of Lake Iwanttobethere. She was wearing a tattered old orange shawl and her feet were dragging from the weight of the black torn hip boots she had on. On her head was what was left of one of them cardboard crowns that you get at Burger King. She had a rod in her hand with no lure on it, just a few feet of line dangling from the tip being blown in the wind. When she walked by I herd her mumbling something about how she could have been somebody, she could have been a star. Reminded me of some old movie line but I can't put my finger on it. That's not GG is it?  :doah:

:rotflmao: The cat you smooshed couldn't have been my Max. The leg of the rocker would have broken first. He's one hefty boy just like the rest of the family here.

PS. My wife enjoyed your E-mail. A little to much I might add  :taz:

Switching gears here. Tied on some bigger baits and now when I go out fishing I am looking for a northen to put us in first.. Still have to find a crappie so I can enter the crappie challenge. Last few times out on the water has been all mine. Looks like the fishermen who hunt have put their boats away. Except for Hunter! I think if he could shoot a fish he would!  :fudd:
