Well, those of you that followed the "Hunter's Challenge"
Here is the report from our fish'in trip.....
Since neither of us had fished this lake in some time, it was an equal challenge.
Bobby being a bass fisherman kicked my  :moon: , he boated 7 bass, and 1 pike.
He had the biggest bass at 3 1/2 pounds.
Me being a pike fisherman, I kicked his  :moon: , boating 8 pike and 4 bass.
The biggest pike was 31"..... and I might add, I lost a 40+ by the boat.
Most of the pike that I caught, were literally "hammer handles"

We worked around, mostly the northern 1/2 of the lake, hitting the sunken cabbage and reed edges.

Bobby fished the shallower water, and I fished mostly the deeper side.
Casting spinner baits, whites and yellows.
I believe Bobby was casting a yellow frog type lure for a while, and a white buzz bait.
I don't think Bobby lost one lure, me, on the other hand lost 4 spinner baits.
(I usually don't cast spinner baits, It took me a while to get use to it)

It was a bright sunny day with a little breeze on the water, boat traffic wasn't to bad. There were only a few trucks in the lot when we launched.

I think we did more BS'ing than fish'in.....But, that's how friendship goes!
I think we sat at the launch for another hour after we loaded, just BS'ing.

Oh, and one last comment.....when Bobby puts his toes in the water and says it's 78 degrees......It's 78 degrees!

I hope everything is good in your neck of the woods!
