Well tension is mounting here, A few teams I have heard are still going to try and make a final push for upgrades in the standings. A few boats are going to get wet this last week of the Challenge. I am waiting to see if there will be some last minute posting of fish. Always the chance that someone is holding out till the last moment hoping to make a big splash. I guess we won't know till the Challenge official ends at midnight on Halloween, how fitting.

  :doah:
No sandbagging on this end Bobby. I may hold off posting for a few days here and there, but it would be downright cruel to sandbag while were in the home stretch of the race. If it wasn't for The Challenge I would have cashed it in weeks ago.

I want to let you know this Young Gun didnt jsut happen to stumble on the fish that i got this summer. I spent 18 days straight on the water and had to miss a day for a funeral then i fished 32 days straight before my streak was broke by that damn wee fest! SOOO out of 51 days i fished HARD for 50 of them this summer in a row. Before that i fished probubly 3 or 4 days a week. Considering all of the above and how close the standings are if you old timers could muster up the energy to get out of the rocking chair i would be in big trouble!  But again its not over untill its over and my body has gone into automatic piolet mode and wont let me put down my guns for a fishing rod so if somone get the go ahead fish i will be dead in the water! To make it a little more interesting if somone submits a fish to knock me out of first place i will buy them a 12 pack of steel reserve!  :toast:

You can keep the beer. I'll just take the trophy. If you'll notice my rocker is empty, but I'll be using the one in the boat this morning :fishing2:

Wanted...........Wanted...........Wanted.............Wanted.......... Wanted................Wanted

Desperately seeking MNO Fishing Challenge inches. Second place team looking for .75 inch to tie for first place or 1 inch to finish as Champs in first place. We would be willing to pay top dollar or would negotiate our next years first round draft choice.

It's not due to lack of effort that we are unable to overcome the incumbent first place team. It's just that we are running out of time and this may be the best way to go under the existing circumstances. Please send us a PM if you would be willing to negotiate. No offer will be refused!

Regards,

Desperately seeking championship.

Borgie's  :chef: in the kitchen now as we speak preparing sandwiches for tomorrow's one last go around out on the lake. She has also informed me that she wants to leave a bit earlier in the morning this trip. This way we may get the jump on those crack of dawn fish.

I'm not sure where this sudden surge of enthusiasm is coming from, :dancinred: but I believe it stems from her teams fall from 4th place down to 7th place :doah:. I think that's pretty cool and hope she gets that big one tomorrow :fishing2: for all her efforts. She defiantly has her eye on regaining that 4th place slot.

Jdrummer I do have a 28.5 walleye to post which would put you back into a prize position but I need the ok from my teammates. Personally I would rather move up in standings than settle and take the bankers deal. Sorry but when I go out with the intention of catching  a bigger northern I always steer the boat to walleye haunts.

Well I'm done. I went out to Clearwater this morning and tried for walleyes and later bass. The highlights were watching a fox walk along a nearby shoreline for about ten minutes and a pileated woodpecker. The closest I got to any fish slime on my hands was a pike follow. It was a little frosty out there.

My hat goes off to Team 25  - Big Winnie Duece, Fubar and Metal Millitia. Congratulations. My hat also goes off to the 2nd place team The Wanderers. And my hat also goes off to my exceptional team mates. I thought this years tournament was a blast. Thanks so much to Hunterdown and Bobby for outstanding judging. And thanks to all the smacktalkers for the frequent Smack talk.
