I tried your spot on the big pond today Jacob.............
All we caught was little ones.
But we did limit on sunfish in the bay! 

I'll be on East tomorrow!

Its a hard spot to find i had to drill 100 holes to find it last time.

its just a little drop i found during open water when it was real windy.

They was between 6-8 inches, so, not bad sized.

I was in 10 then drops to 15 then I hit the perch good the bigger ones

Yea, we fished all over the area...anywhere between 10 to 28 feet.
My arms were sore from drilling so many holes!

I went to West Rush today and caught my limit of sunfish!
20 feet of water with wax worms.

we pulled up 10 more fish then left.
nothing big other than two 14'' crappies.

I went out this afternoon and caught a bunch of small sunfish and one big perch.
It was something to do, I released them all..............just kill'in time

How is the ice on west?

Ice is a little sloppy...........

Water and slush on top.
Cracks are starting to form, but there is still truck traffic.
Water running down open holes.
Still 2 to 2 1/2 feet of ice.

Pretty soon we'll be down to wheeler traffic.

Saturday, the slush had re-froze and people are still driving trucks.

I got 6 jumbos tonight........and a bunch of littler ones.
But that was it.

I put a buddy on my spot for sunfish, and he caught his limit of keepers!

I have in the summer for Pike............I usually don't go out there in the winter cause of the 5 crappie limit.

So, I haven't heard any reports.

My dad and I have been doing well for crappies and a few sunfish just out from the public landing south of cigar island the last two weeks.  We were in 25 ft of water using waxies.  Saturday we caught the tail end of the evening bite and left with half a limit of crappies.  Could have left with more but they were biting pretty good so I was being a little selective.  O-well though, they'll be bigger next year!!

I think im going to head up to mill lacs lake thurs or friday give it a nother trie but going to a diffrent spot this time.

going to get fish to make some pickled perch and sunfish.

I didn't get to get out today....
(The wife had other plans for me)

But, me and her did take a drive around the lake.
Stopped at the park, and could see only one truck on the ice in the bay.
There were a couple behind cigar on the North side.
Not nearly as many people as yesterday.

I, myself, don't think I'd be driving out much more....prolly stick with the wheeler for awhile.

Nope, didn't here that yet.....

There was a truck on the ice last night, while I was fishing.
The ice looked pretty rough, I wouldn't drive on it.

Just under 2 feet of ice left where I was.
With slush on top.

I got my limit, brought um home, cleaned um and had um for supper!
