This string is only for posting of 2009 MNO Challenge fish, do not make any comments here but you are welcome to in the smack thread..

All fish must be photographed along side a clearly visible outstretched tape measure (Fish board recommended) and must include the staple item. This years staple item is a bobber with either MNO or MWO printed on it. This must be included in your photo

The entire fish must be in the picture and it is important that the nose of fish is up against the edge of the tape or fish measuring board. Any one of three judges will look at the submitted picture and give it a thumbs up. That means the fish will be scored for your team. Fish pictures must be posted by the last day of the contest, no late or early entries will count. Fish must be measured with a closed mouth, an open mouth will result in a deduction in length decided by the judges.  A   :happy1: from the judges means your fish has been scored for your team...

There is a minimum size for your fish to be entered. Bass will need to be 14" or larger. Walleye or Sauger 18" or larger and Northern Pike 24" or larger. Fish will be measured to the nearest ¼ inch down and upgrades may be made in ¼ inch units. ( Example a walleye at 21 and 3/8 will be scored as 21 and ¼ )  There is no limit to how many times you can upgrade your catch. Remember that your teams largest fish in each category will determine your final entry length.
Thank you and good luck!

Here are some tips when taking pictures to post fish in the challenge. As judges we can blow up pictures to see your measurements. But poor photos makes it hard for us to verify your catch. A fish board is the way to go but a good tape measure or a Aluminum yard stick works just as well.

Please put the nose of your fish on the zero of your tape.

Try and have your photo taken with the fish mouth closed ( yes we know this is hard )

Fish photos need the entire fish and the MNO bobber in the picture, taking a photo of the tail and tape is not a legal fish as we can not see where the head is.

Get as close as you can and take your photo looking down at the fish and tape. Very hard to see when photos are taken from the side.

Take the time to get a good close up picture of your fish, the closer the better. All we want to see is the fish framed in the picture.

For the most part we are taking your word on the size you claim for your fish and your photo helps us confirm it. A poor shot or an unreadable tape may disqualify your entry.

When we do have a problem photo the Judges do confer and make a ruling on the fish.

When posting your fish give us your measurement and what team you want it scored for! Remember you need a posted fish to enter into the Grand Prize drawings and also posted fish go into the drawing for a Wallhangers gift certificate for each month
