Hey Everyone, I really hate to be the person with the lousy news, but I just recieved news that My Uncle Don Stenseth passed away early this afternoon.  I do not know many details and it really has not sunk in for me yet.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.  For those of you who knew him know that he is one hell of a guy, and for those of you who don't I can vouch that he is the type of guy who would give you his last Tee shirt even if the both of you were freezing to death.  He is going to be missed in a huge way.  I am off to be with the family right now.  I will check back in with you all a little bit later.

Stensethfan...

I only met Don once, but he talked as if we were old friends.  He was very personable, and easy to get along with.  And his photographs... they were exceptional!  He will be sadly missed!  My families thoughts and prayers are with you & yours.

My prayers are for you and your family Luke. He was a wonderful artist, and gave me many helpful tips in photography when I first started not too long ago. Thank you Don.

Great photographer and a great guy.  I only met him one time, but that was enough to know what type of person he was.  Very sad news.

I also met him at the Peltier G2G.  Hell of a guy.  The world was a better place with him in it.

Thanks again to everyone who reads this and who has posted!  I know Uncle Don loved the chit chat and the jokes all of you had to offer.  He is the reason I became a member here because he said you all were good, down to earth people to talk the outdoors with!  I look forward to carrying on his memory and hopefully some day I get to meet some of you at a GTG some where!

I first met Don at one of the ice fishing GTG. He was and is a great guy in my book. We talked for a while and had a great time talking with him. His pictures are like nothing else. "Great". This had to be one of the most down to earth guys you would ever meet. From my family to your family. We wish you all the best. He will be deeply missed by all.
If today was perfect. There would be no need for tomorrow.

Same here Dennis. Have been on the road and at the State Fair for what seems an eternity and now I see this. Never had the privilege to meet Don but online here, he was always a gentleman and one of the easy folks to get along with. My prayers to his friends and family. Thanks Don for sharing all the wonderful photographs with us. You will be sorely missed.
