We are heading up grouse (partridge, lol) hunting in early October and I wanted to see if anyone had any decent shore areas they know of to catch walleye/pike.  I know the Stinky Ditch deal (yuck).  I was hoping someone might have another area with a decent shot at some success.  We usually have a boat, but I sold her this spring and now we are huffing it by hoof.  Any ideas would be appreciated (you can PM me too if you don't want to broadcast it to the world).  There are just 2 of us heading up.  Thanks!

If in the area, Bearhead makes a good destination. Great place to camp too at the state park.

We will be down the Echo trail some and the Cloquet line.  Maybe down Hwy 1 a bit toward Isabella.
