So lets say I get lucky enough to finally harvest a deer with my bow. It is 75-80 degrees I cant hang this animal in the garage like in november. Does any know where there is a place a guy can pay  to have his deer hang a couple days before butchering? Preferably something around the Rush City area.

But, even with the warm temps, you are gonna need to cool the meat as soon as you can. Have plenty of bags of ice on hand. Many a deer during early bow season has spoiled due to poor handling.

 If  you can  and  have room  find an old chest  freezer  if your  hunting close to home. We have  used  them in the past and usually pick an old one up cheap.

BiggA, I have shot quite a few does early season, and basically had to cut them up that night just due to the temps. Unless you find someone that'll let you hang it, has a spare reefer trailer, you pretty much have no choice but freeze it or cut it up immediately after you harvest it.

I've hung them overnight (evening hunts) early season after skinning them if it gets down to 45-50 degrees, but this weekend doesn't look like you will be able to do that.

I am going to cut it myself. i Know there is a place in Wisconsin where they will hang your game in their cooler for like 7 bucks a day. was hoping to find something around here doing the same.
I have found it easier to work with cold deer than cutting them fresh.

I'm think'in you will have a hard time finding a place that will let you hang it. But, I guess it don't hurt to ask around. Maybe call the local butcher shops and deer processers......

We skin it, debone it ,  but it it big zip lock bags , in the refrigerator for a few days. then freeze it.

I may have the solution to your problem BiggA. I just replaced my garage fridge with a newer model. Much to my reluctance since I ran about 20- 1/2 barrels through it for parties and preserved leeches and minnows and scents in it for 20 years. I do not think this fridge will quit. I got It from my grandmothers place and it was old then. It is not at all pretty and in no way would a metro sexual allow it in their garage but it is fully functional. I am a function over aesthetics person. I think that the new one I replaced it with will wear out before it does but I got the new one off a remodel and it sat in front of the garage for two years and the old lady had enough. It will easily chill two quartered deer in hot weather. Perhaps this should go into classifieds but to help out a brother you may have it for free. or anyone else that may need to keep a beer or a deer really cold in the garage. No pics as of yet but it is kinda a burnt yella color.

BiggA, maybe you happen to know someone who owns a liquor store?  Last season i shot one in the last few minutes of light and the only place open was a liquor store by my house I happen to know the owner.  Since it was not huge I put it in a heavy duty construction garbage bag and kept it cold with the beer over night!!!  No leaking going on with those heavy bags so it was cool by the owner of the store.  I have just swarn to never give the name and or location of the store!

I dont know if I could make enough room in my garage for a fridge. That would probably be the way to go though. Quarter it out and stick it in the fridge.  Now I will actually have to clean the garage and see rather than just think about cleaning the garage.
