A Short = too short of a bass in a tourney.

pitchin'= another "cast style" we bass fisherman use  :fishing2:

skippin= the art of casting the lure like a skipping rock way up under a dock or tree.

Dock date= either smashing boat into the dock when trying to get on the trailer or going out bass fishing in warmer weather

punchin mattes (sp?) =using heavier jigs to probe weeds for a lunker bass.

sloppin' =fishing in the slop where noone else goes!

Lee as far as a cane pole goes it's the best way to bass fish. I have a 35 footer and never need to reel in from a cast. I just drop from one spot to the next. If I want to troll I can do it without ever moving the boat. Besides that I have never had a birds nest with one either. Now that's what I call effecticity.

Effecticity= Might not be pretty but works very good.

Armchair fisherman =  Those that seldom fish, but watch all the TV fishing shows. Many of whom have become experts on fishing.

Five gallon bucket people :fishing2: = Describes those that mostly fish from shore and keep everything that swims regardless of size or DNR rules and regulations. Just interested in filling that 5 gallon bucket. :fishing2:
