New 55# trollin motor went on the Puddle Humper yesterday. I am looking forward to being able to ram my way back into some really weedy bays this summer in search of Mr. Big. While you guys are talking I am fine tuning my rig and sharpening hooks!  :fishing:

At a boy Bobby lets keep everything in top shape. Just in case we get teamed up again this season. We may have to crank it up a notch to make up the slack if we get one of those younger guys on our team. That would be like trolling with our anchor out all season. :doah:

Question:

Do Tiger Muskies count in the Northern section since they are half northern?  Besides, the record MN Northern weighs almost 10 more pounds than the record Tiger Muskie.  If Tiger Muskies are not included in the tournament i motion that they from here on forth be included.  All in favor?

No, they don't and the rules are not up to a vote.  :sorry:

The rules have to be kept simple.  For you young guys-

             1] Bass-walleye -northern pike
2] Mouth closed with ruler of some type
3] A clear pic that shows the fish and the length
4] the mystery item must be in the pic as well

If you want to expand the contest you must first master rules 1-4 (wax on-wax off)

Check out last years entries.  The judges were, let's say forgiving.  It will be show time soon enough.  Like Bobby said get ready and sharpen your hooks.   Brett Farve, The General and hunterdown won't show up until game day unless it looks like a real challenge.   I'm thinking this is going to be a good challenge.  I hope to do this  :moon: then this :toast: but am more than willing to do this  if earned.

Nice Fish Fubar!!!  Us old timers will have to use some of our "experience with age" to catch some like that!

You better reread the rules Fubar. This year the fish must be photographed live. I guess that puts you out of waiting by the fish cleaning house snapping photos of the tourists fish. You do have a chance a chance to repeat win though if you are drawn on my team. Then the dead fish pics should count.

There has been no changes in the rules in regards to a fish being photographed live. There are just times when a decent fish is caught and the camera is sitting at home on the kitchen table. Since this is a friendly Challenge rules are guidelines. If there was an entry fee involved there would be some stiff rules and changes. Including DNA testing and photo Id's     :whistling:

I never thought I'd see someone more confident than I on this thread. You must be figuring that you'll be on the same team as me. Otherwise I just can't understand where all this  :bs: is coming from. Hold on during draft day because you may be in for a big letdown. All I need is one good fisherman (besides me of course) on my team and it will be like Christmas when we back up the truck to load up all the prizes. ;D

PS. If your serious about getting a job next year I could always use someone to clean my fish kid. :rotflmao:

Guess I cant help pick a name for my Challenge team till Im on it...but been thinking  of names for my Alma Mata....as well as for the Challenge.... I think following in another Minnesotan's tradition(Little Red Corvette) my favorite Hockey team should be known as " The Team Formerly known as the Fighting Sioux". If another Nodaker is on my Challenge team we could call it the same!!! :whistling:

To increase your chances you will have to bring in a few "formerly known as".  Remember-you don't have to wear a silly hat.   :chef:  That is just the young guys  expressing themselves.

Hey kid, let's be honest here. First off you don't even have your age posted on your profile so what's up with that? Are you ashamed of your age. According to your profile I noticed that you live in the town of S/W Minnesota. I never heard of that town. It must be located in S/W Minnesota I guess. So, let's see you must be living with your folks right. So how do you expect to win the challenge when your out clubbin all night?

Us old guys will be coming off the lake for the day before you young bucks are even out of bed while telling your ma to bring you some more aspirins. If you play your cards right I might let you try on my 2010 Championship Challenge ring at the awards banquet.

Honestly Prosupermag and Fubar deserve alot of credit for the numbers posted last year. It really helps having sponsors like Berkely,Rapala,Frabill,Ranger and Mommy and Daddy to help keep you on the water.

Congrats on picking up the second boat to make you a more versatile angler. Your going to need it this year to keep up with me. You see I also picked up a second boat because I had a hard time dealing with finishing in second place by 3/4 of an inch last year. Therefore I also decided to become more versatile and try a new approach. I'm purdy much excided to try some netting since it should cut down on gas and bait expenses not to mention time on the water.

Meanwhile back on the sign up string we now have enough for 11 teams with just under a month before fishing starts. Prizes are down this year as we, the hard core fishermen here on this board will be supporting ourselves. Prizes are nice but I like having that line "2008 Fishing Challenge Champs" under my name. Adding 2010 will look nice. Two boats? Last time I looked you can only fish out of one at a time. Besides I like my deck where I have enough room for my rocking chair and the power winch to land my fish. Looking forward to who ever ends up on my team, maybe I'll get lucky in the drawing and Lee or Big Slick or even both will become a team again..
