They are the hunters that have the passion to go to the ends of the earth, in pursuit of the basic hunter instincy that was instilled in us at birth and is so often taken away in society.

I know! Its driving me nuts. The worst part is that I am ready... I mean, I have no stands to hang, nothing to do except wait. I have two more afternoon scouting trips to make just to check cams but that is about it and that won't take place until the 1st week of September. I guess I just need to use my extra time to shoot shoot and shoot!

cmpswampy,  Where do you hunt?  What have you taken or seen in the past years.  Tell us a little about yourself.  Thanks,

My wife and I will be in the Hinckley area on opener this year. She will be sitting over a food plot awaiting her first deer. She was out of hunting the past few years due to an injury. This year she has been hitting the gym 3-5 times a week and she is ready to roll. She has already earned one and I am confidant she will bring one home! Pic’s in a month

i am here!!! im with you MNO i cant take it anymore. went out to check the trail camera that i put up and wasnt to impressed with that area, mineral block was about gone but i think the rain had alot to do with that. the other small plot i put down in the pine trees has gotten mowed down and is full of tracks so i threw the cam there gonna check it next week. i been shooting shooting shooting and more shooting the new easton fused and carbon arrows are amazing. im going to start shooting out of my climber in the yard in full camo to practice the different angles.

I am ready!  This will actually be my first year out - got my bow late last season, and once I got my buck opening day of shotgun, I had no reason to go out with the bow.

 :archery:

Ive been shooting alot, I did mostly in the spring - not too much recently though, but I have the stands up and Ill be doing more shooting as the 18th comes rolling around!

This will be my second bow hunting season and I can't wait.  Last year was great, got to hunt the big woods up north.

Moved to the metro area this year, so I have a lot of scouting to do before the season starts.  Hoping to get myself some of those does I see everywhere.  Hopefully the public land around here isn't too pressured.

I am with you guys. I get out in Sept. But November is the sweetest. No sweating releasing excessive scent, no mosquitos, no ticks, no foliage, Love is in the air for the Deer. I hope I never lose that feeling of anticipation before a deer hunt.

Lost my Buffalo County spot this season as my brother bought Dad's farm and leased it to an outfitter, ##%$@*

jkcmj, it really sucks to lose a hunting spot.  How did this work out.  Did you have notice, any chance to continue hunting on the lease?  If you know or care to inform us, what does it cost per acre for a hunting lease in Buffalo County?

well i have 2 more stands to set this evening but i won't be out for opener so they will have some time to mellow out hoping to make it out mid week after opener
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.
