So anyone have their eye on any big ones lately? Establish any feeding patterns that your hoping holds until opener?

The best I have is a nice 11 or 12 point using a trail between the woods and corn a lot! Most of his movement is at night but had him there in the am once and once at 5:30pm. This is just what the camera is telling me so he could be going behind it as there is a heavy trail there as well. I left the cam out there and will check it one more time before opener, probably the 1st week of Sept. That will hopefully show him still using the area.

The 2nd one is a nice 10 point that is OLD. He has some serious mass and has been around forever. I have pics if him back to 2007. I finally have a food plot very close to his bedroom and he is using it and eating it. Its a brassica plot and I have pics of him in there during the night only. The best I have is him at about 10pm. Last fall I had him moving in the area in the am and the eve but teh food was gone come opener and I lost him. Hopefully he stays on this, gets more comfortable and happens to use it during the am or eve on a regular basis.

Those are just two. I have a few more nice deer using both of these areas and then I have a water hole and a couple other areas that are looking good as well. Just itching to get out there!

Whats everyone else seeing??

Are you keeping track of wind direction and checking to see if it makes a differance on when they are using a trail?

Will you share any pics?

I haven't seen a buck on my property since spring.  If I didn't know better, I would say they are all gone.  But, I know better.  I haven't used a trail camera in a number of years now.  All bucks I see during hunting are new to me.

It's a Bushnell Trophy Cam.  They claim 6 monthes battery life.  It's an IR camera.  I didn't want to spook the deer with a flash.  It doesn't have a viewing screen but the SD card works in my camera.  I guess we will see how it does.

I will share some in a week or so....  :happy1:

And I haven't been keeping  track but will look into it. Have you done that in the past?

Here are a few pics a buddy sent me from his trail cam. He looks like a nice buck! I know this is the biggest one he has seen where he hunts.

Hope the pictures show up.

I have and I didn't notice any obvious patterns, but more info is never a bad thing.  I did the wind thing when I only had 1 cam and it was over a mineral lick.  This year we have 4 cams and 2 of them are on main trails right now.  I'm leaving for the north country tomorrow to plant trees and change out the sd cards.  Hopefully Lucky starts comming aroung more regular and I get a chance to let the air out of his lungs.
