Hello all, I found this forum recently and tried to register. I learned that my username had already been taken so I figured I'd try and log in as it.  Well it worked!  I guess I registered a few years back and just never came back!   So I figured I'd say hi and post some pictures of what I've been doing this winter, Enjoy:
My college buddies and I had a good day out.  The fish had to thaw a bit before we cleaned them:

Beginner's luck. First day trout fishing:

Next time I went after trout. The big one was just about 19 inches:

Next two are  my first splake trout:

Short afternoon of fishing:

Got my younger brother out for a short morning trip:

The rest are just of afternoons testing out the new FL-8:

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

No sir deadeye!  Not married. That was in our college apartment too.We just had no better place to thaw them at.  I imagine if I was married, that little event would be the final straw, as I'm sure there would be many stunts that came before that!

Did you take a bath right after that to get the fish smell off of your hands from cleaning them all??  ;)

Welcome to the site! Now in order to be a good member we will need the following:

  • Lake Name
  • Gps Coordinates
  • Depth
  • Precise set-up
  • and any other info that may help us fill our bath tubs up!

Hmmm, I'll try and make something up!  Lake Name is not the lake I was on...It might have been Name Lake though, can't remember. I was blindfolded on the way out there so I couldn't tell others about this "SECRET LAKE" I know I was over water, deep enough to have submerged trees, so it had to be deeper than 10 feet.  My set up was a hook, two sinkers, and a bobber/or just the bobber stop.  Depending on if the fish were before or after I bought my FL-8.  I do know I was using the older Crappie rated Genz Stik.  For filling your bathtub, make sure you plug it so you can bathe in that nice Northern Slime.  It really helps the skin!

I hope that answer was what you were looking for!  :fishing2:

HAHA! Too funny!  No, I can't even remember all the lakes we get too.  I'm up at school at Vermilion Community College in Ely. We are at the edge of the Boundary Waters and the lakes around here are a dime a dozen!  We get out to a lot of lakes and we don't always know the names, and we don't necessarily go back to them all either.

Thanks again guys!  I don't know if I have any very good stories, but it's generally quite the adventure going out with a bunch of buddies. You never know what's going to happen!

I thought I checked, but I don't think I intro-ed myself when I first joined.  So I'm not cheating! LMAO!   The username is the same I use on other forums and worst case scenario was that I went through a dozen different passwords that I've used in the past!
