I was planning on hitting the ice today...

But, when I went to leave, backing out of the drive, my brake pedal in the tuck hit the floor!

Seems I blew out the master cylinder!  :doah:

So, for the time being...My ice fish'in is on ice...  :banghead:

Anybody make it out today?  :fishing2:

I had planned on going out.  I got to tinkering and started some new projects.  There will be a warm up at the end of the week and that is when I would really like to hit it.  If I decide to get a table at the tackle meet I will be busy all week trying to get ready.  I got a couple of Basskicker frogs done.  As you can see they are ready to kick some bass.  ;D

Tyler don't put the ice stuff away yet.  In a couple of weeks as the ice goes out the fishing is going to get hot.  When the shallow bite starts I will get you out.  You only need a stick with about 5ft of line on it.

Went out to Pelican today for the first time. It was nice to finally make it out there after hearing about it for years. Set up in a known spot with the seasoned people I was with and nothing. Moved to another spot and started to get fish. Ended up catching a bunch of papermouths and a couple sunnies mixed in. Nothing to amazing...biggest crappie was about 9" with most being around 6. Fished in 7-8 ft and threw what I could at them until my reel broke...(WTF!) Anyway, left the lake just when the fishing was picking up (1730). People I was with were seasoned in more then one respect  ;D. Hope to get out there again sometime before the ice goes out.

Glad it wasn't anything more serious.

I finally got out yesterday.... Blizzard closed all the roads here in ND Friday-saturday.  I had hoped to get to Minnesota to go perchn on Leech.  A friend invited me to try a slough in the middle of no where yesterday.  Wow!  Big perch were biting!
