Good question and I believe you are right on your first statement.  I'm sure someone around here will know the general consensus on what is believed to be a trophy.

Any legal turkey that you worked to successfully harvest.  Whether a two hour hunt or a two week hunt, you earned it so enjoy it as your "trophy".
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.
