well i still havent had my rifle season i dont rifle hunt mn but i do WI so my rifle hunting starts this weekend so bloody vane is looking good hoping to get another buck

Just tell the others it's MY buck tag and I want to fill it.  I just don't understand the group thing where some one will fill any tag he can.

Thats fine.  The way you put it, it look like a contest to see who could fill the tags first.  Yes, you did get a nice buck already.

well a hs in my district is on fire so i might get to leave early grrrr.

shot 2 more does my deer counts up to 4 for the year and hoping to get the buck still got 2 more weekends of rifle/powder to get him

wish there were still up to six deer per team plus the youth points

Still at it here could have reclaimed the lead two weeks ago with a 10 point but decided to pass him up because he needs another year. Nice deer tall tines and out to his ears but not past and not a ton of mass a solid 125-130 but has good potential for next year. would have nice to have bragging rights but maybe next year or who knows the seasons not over just yet!

It's tough to pass on a 10 point this late in the season.  However, it probably was the right decision for you.  Now you have at least on to look for next year.  I plan to get out with the bow a few times yet this year.  I doubt I will shoot anything.

My younger boy (O man) got another doe this morning.  We post a picture after we get back from church.  This is his 2nd deer of the season (which is his first year hunting).
