they have these new places to go to to lift weights. they are well equiped, and very macho. they call them gyms.
I highly recomend going this route as to squash all possibilities that rumors may start. you know how rumors go.

I actually do have an agenda here but lets color in this hypothetical outdoorsman a little more.

Can a man be an outdoorsman and, let's say drive certain cars...
like maybe a Prius or a Bentley?

man rules, chapter 8 paragraph 3 covers this.

"an outdoorsman is allowed to drive any means of transportation to outdoor activities as long as it is powered by an internal combustion engine with enough horse power to spin the tires on dry pavement"

side note: this paragraph was revised  when gasoline went over $3.00 a gallon and I along with others were reduced to driving mini-vans to lake of the woods. :-[

O.k. let's say this man has a hand ice auger but sometimes he shows up for his yoga class wearing a cape. Does the ice auger offset the penalty points for wearing the cape.

A cape can only helps matters. I see no problem with a cape. I guess it does matter what color the cape is and if there is any logo on the cape. But then again he shouldn't be wearing the cape to yoga class. That is something that should be worn on a lake. Open water is the best time to wear capes. It makes you that much more attractive especially when driving and the cape is blowing in the wind. After a long day on the water when you pull your boat into the marina and tie up and you step onto the dock with a cape on.....other anglers will know you are serious.

again, if you are posing as a plumber and the ice auger (internal combustion engine powered) is somehow used to unclog cotton mice from the drains at the ultra-femme yoga class and you are wearing a cape AND a mask, then it is acceptable.
I totaly agree with mafly on this one about the cape deal.
capes are cool. tell me you do have a big diamond with a stylish letter "F" in the center on your chest. oh I can just see you swantering into yoga class, pronouncing "this looks like a job for SUPER FAWKINAE!!"

Well first of all I have never swantered anywhere.

As for the crime fighter gig - I like it and it seems to me yoga could only help. But I'm going without the cape. Seems like that can only get in the way. I'm thinking more like a green lantern/flash look. The diamond seems like a great tool to attract would be criminals.

And he’s starting to notice things. Like body performance things.

The outdoorsman performance formula tells us:
S + S2 + F = P

S = Strength (excellent)
S2 = Stamina (excellent)
F = Flexibility (pathetic)
P = Performance

In an effort to perform at a higher level in the outdoors, he determines that he needs to improve his flexibilty and that’s where yoga comes in. What's good or enhances outdoor performance is good. So beer and yoga would both fit into that category.

Yes, you can be a man and go to yoga twice a week..... Provided that
A. You are droping off your wife and/or daughter
B. You are there to repair something.
C. you drive a vehicle there (ATV's count), not run, walk or worse yet, power walk there!
D. should you choose to attend and wear a cape it must be camo and in season, no snow camo in the summer boys!
E. A cup is MANDATORY! to hide any unexpected arousal, and to protect yourself when "they" catch you "gandering" a bit too long!

Could I get one your spare knitting needles? One of them with the little hook on the end. Fairly small would be perfect. Ya might not want to bring it to knitting class after I'm done though as I'm going to use it to thread leaders through smelt for my tip-ups.

I understand the formula as my flexibility is in the toilet also, due mostly to my back sugury and some patial parralisis(sp). The real cure for this is to cowboy up. You will find in a matter of seconds that you are more flexible than you thought an can also run and jump like a gazelle. This will give you more time to get in the outdoors an enjoy what you want to do in the first place.

Disclaimer this only works if you havn't worn out that hat an lost your fear.
