I'm interested in may be heading south next winter to do some hog hunting. I was just wondering if any one has done this and where are some areas to check. Really don't want to head to texas, was thinking may be more closer , thanks for any info you can provide.

I've gone hog hunting in Texas, on private land.

But, I guess that isn't much help if yer look'in to hunt public.

Or you could contact an outfitter....

I'm open to anything, I would think that with the pigs being such a problem it would be easy to find land to hunt but it seems every one wants to charge you to come in and shoot pigs,  H D  did you have a guide on private land? OR dId you have to pay the land owner? and what area of texas were you in?

It's one of my relatives that owns the land.
And even though they are a "nuisance" the land owners still want to charge from $50 to $75 bucks a gun. Or whatever you choose to use, and the price might be higher, because I haven't done it fer a few years.

So, no I didn't have a guide.

I have this on my bucket list, but it's going to be out of a helicopter eradicating hogs.  I want to be knee deep in brass and pigs laying all over.
