so.. hows the lottery work these days? it's been 12 years since I've put in for a doe lottery tag? want to get some chances in so the kid has a shot at a doe tag.. i think back in the day you would enter the lottery and then go buy the license if you were drawn? i don't remember. or do you buy your license and if your drawn you get a special tag sent to you? the regs didn't explain it so well.. anyone here did this yet?

Usually you have to purchase your deer tag before the first Saturday in Sept. and apply for your doe tag at the same time. Then, you would get notified by mail if you were drawn. I would check the DNR schedule, because it may have changed dates.

I just checked the schedule, the deadline is 9/04/14, which is a Thursday.  :scratch:
