Everything is planted,, now we just need some hot sunny weather to make it take off and grow.  Great time of the year, everything looks great and weeds are kept at bay.  Much different picture a month from now.

Cucumbers, squash, watermelon, pumpkins, and gords.

Strawberry, rhubarb and pumpkin hill

Early planting, Taters and onions

Later stuff, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, peppers, broccoli

Can't forget the flowers

More flowers and grapes

I don't know but I'd say it's just big enough.  I plant everything far enough apart that I can use my rear tine tiller between the rows.  I also don't know the answer as to why pick the flowers off.  But those 3 rows of potatoes come close to 100 gallons of potatoes the last two years.

I pulled one yesterday and the potatoes where the size of my fist.  So the size of your biceps would be equivalent.

Bout a week ago I dug some new tatters,I saw the garden which is about 16ft wide an 30ft long thrashed!! It is fenced with a 42 inch high fence to keep bunnies and critters out.1/2 my tatters were broken off and laid flat,1/4 of the onions were flattened also! I inspecyed and found white bird feathers and bird poop all over the tatter greens. The feathers were flight feathers,The ole girl an myself just couldnt figure it out!! Eagle goin for a bunny?? Their tail feathers are flat not flight feathers! Egret?? No way why would they be in the garden??
The ole girl Sandy was talking to a neighbor,They said guess what was in yer garden from 5 AM till they went home at 9AM>>WEll she couldnt even make a guess,We when through all possibilities!!! They said a Pelican was in it!! They were going to call and let us know.Dang pelicans need some long runways for takeoff 16ft or 30ft wasnt enough so it tried and thrashed the tatters an onions!!! We never saw the bird it was gone,We did see and were confused why the damage!! Weird EH!!

As Dexter would say "carn" is doing great, already starting to tassel. Already pulled some cukes, beans, peas, kale and a few small tomatoes. Took some taters out of the field plot, figured I'd leave the one by the barn alone for now.

:happy1:  Sounds great, the potatoes survived the hail storm and I dug some last week to bring over to MN.  Nothing kills zucchini and yellow squash coming in the past two weeks...  Corn have about 12 stocks, tomatoes are re leafing and blooming finally...

Storm came through here overnight and dumped about two inches of rain and some high winds. First thing I had to do this morning was pick up planters and chairs. The worst part is the wind took down all of my sweet corn! still growing cucs here all this rain is going to make for a lot of ripen tomatoes here.
