You don't even want to know what the breeder gives me for a stud fee.  I don't believe it myself what he sells the pups for but hey I'm not going to complain.  All brown shorthairs must be in demand.

He literally wouldn't leave my side tonight.  Usually he just lays on his pillow.  But tonight every where I went he was by my side.  He knows what tomorrow is.   :happy1:

It ran into some lead from a Browning.  However if it did hit the Ford it would probably still be alive.  Too bad Chevy didn't make such a crappy motor.  I add that to the end of my prayers...dear lord please let Chevy come out with a motor In their truck that doesn't have that cylinder deactivation B.S. So I can once again have my rose colored gmc glasses on.

I went out one last time today and pushed 30 acres of cattails.  Ended up,with three roosters to end the season.  What a fantastic hunting year it was.  The old dog showed he still has what it takes to go through the slough and chase down 2 of the three birds that took off running after going down.  Man was I proud of him.

Thanks fellas.  One of the roosters was shot out of a grove right before the cattails.  It landed in the field and about 5 ft behind was my dog.  The bird ran back into the woods and about a 20 second chase was on.  Watching the bird zig and zag, tail feathers being plucked, finally ended with the bird making one last ditch attempt to the cattails.  I laughed pretty hard at that one and a video would have been great.
