I'm sure that picture could still be taken today after all those unions and social programs.  Especially only mom being in the picture.  I'm sure in that picture dad is either at work or taking the picture. ;)

Man you got every bit you could out of those nerf bars Dotch.  Coffee that sounds like a blast.  Vacation is always a fun thing.  MAN am I haveing a great start to the day.  I got some new shampoo,  Aussie.  Says it is shampoo and conditioner all in one and even comes with a pump on the big bottle.  Says that all gives you more time in the Outback.....  How cool is that???   I also got a new shaving "system"  Gilette Mach 3.  Works great.  AND that's not all.  The wife got me some Cap'n Crunch Berries.   WOW!! is that tasty.  I am sure Boar has had this back in the good ol days at 2 am before...  SO it is starting to be a great Friday.  I have to take a run to the NW Angle today for work so the day will be a good one with the nice drive.  Unfortunately it is Sat. to work tomorrow.  Oh well doesn't happen too often so I can handle it.  Well TGIF...

*BOOM*CRACK*POUR*HAIL*RUMBLE*   :titanic:

Really getting it again down here in Swampville. 'Fraid we might slowly slide off the map sometime soon. They might have to bump things up a notch from this being the 7th wettest Summer on record. I don't ever recall so much rain in one Summer. My crab apple is so loaded again, the top branches have drooped over in a big "U" and are hanging halfway down the tree. Kinda like Glenn when he's loaded.  ;D
Gonna be a bumper crop for the tree rats and birdies to snack on over the winter. Only problem is the dropped ones rot and turn into a stinky, huge, mushy mess on top of the snow/ground. Can't rake up applesauce. I tried. Cedar waxwings invaded the tree 2 years ago and gorged on the apples. Musta been 50 of 'em. Never seen anything like it. Well gents, time for cuppa joe #2, stay dry and have a good day.

Hope you have fun coffee. Sad to hear on all counts Glenn and Reb. I sometimes wonder in the zeal to increase pollinators if we won't see more issues with bee stings as a result. Unless you've been stung you really don't know how you'll react and then it might be too late. I have a bumblebee nest in the ground in the backyard and the dogs have both been stung. I won't mow over it until almost dark to avoid getting nailed myself.

Raining again here Reb so brace yourself!  :bonk:

Most of the bee stings I have gotten over the years have 6wasps or hornets, not pollinators like honeybees or bumblebees.

Sorry to hear about the deaths of friends.  I got wacked by some hornets [the under ground type] this year.  First time I ever broke out in a rash after the bee stings though.  Under my arm pits and groin area.  This was while I was mowing the grass.  My wife thought it was heat rash, but I told her I never got a heat rash in my life, so I blamed it on the bee sting.  Lasted one day and the rash was gone.  good luck.

RH that was at 4 am!!!  What are you doing up so early.  Probably making sausage...  Oops, maybe helping the wife...  Hope all is well in your house.  Sorry to hear about your losses you guys.  It is a tough thing.  The older we get the more it happens to the people we know.  We just have to hang in there.

Well it is my Saturday to work.  Darn.  Actually I will be the only one there so it is kind of peaceful.  I sort of like it.  Will be leaving for the BlacK Hills in a few days so that I am looking forward to.  I have never been there before.  lol  The wife has been so she knows the spots to see I guess.  She really liked the Wind Caves.  We of course will see Mt. Rushmore and my brother said we should all go zip lining at a place near there.  I am all in on that so I hope it happens.  I have rib eyes that I had cut 1 1/4" thick that I am bringing so am looking forward to them.  It is a family get together so will be a great time.  Manhattans will be the cocktail of choice at 4 in the afternoon. We are renting a very nice cabin from an old high school buddy of mine.  His wife and him have 2 of these beautiful cabins 15 minutes from Deadwood and are out in the hills with beautiful views.  Check this out:  www.blackhillsluxurycabins.com.  We are renting the Big Sky cabin.  SO we will eat somewhere in Deadwood one night too.  Lot's of places we have to pick from so let me know if you have any favorites.  I see Kevin Costner owns one of them.  Maybe we will go there.

Ok gotta go so will check in later for more from you guys.  Later,,,,,

Another el soggo day here in Swampville. At least the rain's stopped. A cool and damp 56* . LPS, got room for one more?! "Cabin"....you mean palace! Sheesh! What a place! Have a great time! I envy you! Speaking of palace, I'm finally re-doing doing my rec room...got put on hold 2 yrs ago after I remodeled the entire upstairs. Put myself in the hospital. Pushed it a wee bit too much. Once I get going, I don't stop. Get 'er done. Ripping out carpet and putting in new. Spackling. Sanding. Painting. Getting rid of stuff.  *rip*tear*toss* Realized in the middle of this I have a new 'fridge coming Tuesday, and this WAS gonna be the route the new one came thru...the garage. Gonna haveta go thru front door now. Garage is fulla stuff from rec room. Always something.Got a pkg of CSR's thawed out, they'll be going on the grill whenever I get around to it later today. Have a good weekend, guys.

Just figured Glenn was on vaca....so, someone had to pick up the union slack....  :rotflmao:

Just got back from town, had to go to the credit union cause one of my accounts got hacked, only lost a few bucks, but it's the principal...
Went to Maynerds to check out the cost of another freezer and a wine cooler, gonna wait till tomorrow to pull the trigger cause the 11% sale starts then.

Then it was off to Napa to get a temp scensor for the go cart (commuter car) I put that in as soon as I got home.

Called on my Cub Cadet that's in the shop for warranty work....not ready, so I'll have to mow the country lot with the Craftsman (slow mow'in)

Burgers and brats for the grill this afternoon...nuth'in special.....but, good eating.

Today I was gonna cut grass.Last time it was cut was 6-8?? Weeks ago
Then a TV show the ole girl said stay up an watch it  a few nights ago was on. It was a 6 hour show and started at I think 8PM, No way could I watch the whole show from 8PM till 2AM!!! It was on from 8AM till 2PM today and it's called Harley and the Davidson's. If anyone is a scooter enthusiast its a great must watch of how Harley Davidson got started puttin engines on bicycles.I loved it just fell short of modern day Harley's! It ended right after the suicide shift was added on the Knucklehead.
So if yer a scooter, biker type try to catch it. starts slow but comes around quickly with WWl and competition wit Indian plus all the other motorcycle start ups  in the late 1800's early 1900's

I had a 250 Harley dirt bike.  Bought it new.  Beautiful bike.  It was black with red pin striping.  Everything was steel and tin.  No plastic that I remember.  Not as good on trails as Enduros but looked better....   Man I wish I still had that one too.  I think it may have been about a 1978????  Well today I need to improve the trail to the new deer stand.  A few small trees are blocking the best trail to it.  It is a couple  hundred yards from the house so need to sneak in to it quietly.  Then it is Vikings time.  Just like RH, I am a huge fan and yes I drink the Kool-aid.  I think we will do good this year again.  In our family pool I picked 12 wins.  lol  As you can see I am an optimist too....   I think Hill will start but Sam will get in the game at half or so.  Not sure what will be on the grill but I just took out a pkg. of homemade bacon for breakfast.  Rebs has a great breakfast every day and I only have cereal or a banana during the week so it is time to catch up a little.  I got some honey from the local bee keeper the other day.  I put a shot in my first cup of java every morning.  He told me the stuff in the stores is pasteurized so most of the health benefits are not in it as in fresh honey.  So I always try to get it from him.  They have a big operation.  They take the bees to sunny Cal in the winter.  Well I am off to the kitchen.  Later boys.
