As usual at 2:30 am I'm sitting there watching TV wit one eye closed. Borgie gets up out a bed to go tinkle for da 3rd time. Suddenly she blurts out ''0' N0! from da udder room. Now myself being a veteran of "da Queens' " dramma I calmly state now what?  "0" N0! she yells out. Ok..OK, so what's wrong dis time I say. The cat puked in your shoes she yells! Now I gotsta get up and see dis.
Sure enough boat shoes hit dead center. He could't aim fur da outside and made a direct center hit to da insides.


   I can't wait ta see how da rest a da day unfolds.

So Glenn the other day Buddy our black lab puked right in front of us in the front room.  The wife saw it first as that is the way I handle those things.      Well it was freshly eaten dog food.  He was eating it so I said "well leave him alone".  She did and it is a non-issue now.

  yea well mine don't clean up her own mess..........neither does my wife!!!!!!!!!!!! one thing i noticed, we feed our hounds table scraps/ leftovers, she  everytime i give her fried fish!!!!!!! no more of that!!!!!!!!!

i used to give my old male lab steak bones. this brown female doesn't digest them, we figured that out 400 bucks later on a roto rooter job!!!!!

PFFFT..........we've fed our hounds table scraps all my life!!!!!!!!!! this one still loves it just know now what i can give her. and yea i do when they ask for katchup!!!!!!!! better then thrown food in the garbage!!!!

I give some table scraps but not hardly any pork.  Hard for them to digest which means unreal farts.  I give NO BONES anymore.  Too many issues.  I have even had neighbors running over with a dog choking on a bone and sticking my finger down their throat getting it out.  I read a great Vets Book.  "How to afford Vet care without mortgaging the kids".  An old guy in Bemidji who was a Veterinarian that pissed off the Vet Society by writing the book.  It has great common sense things on pets.  One of the things he says it that cooked bones are the ones that splinter.  Wild animals don't chew on cooked bones.  Interesting.   He says to give you dogs frozen chicken like drum sticks or quarters.  They can chew them up and it cleans their teeth and the bones are not brittle since they are not cooked.  I had this guy castrate my last dog for 1/2 price of all of the other Vets in Bemidji.  I am sure he is retired now.  BUT what a fun book.   I think his name was Bigsby.

been around labs all my life, for some reason this one is different. love the darn thing to death but her eating habits are sooooo different then any other lab I've been associated with. finiky tummy and she'd eat 10lbs of dog food if i put it out. all the others would eat till the full and quit. now the sheltie man that one has me wrapped around her paws!!!!!!!!!

Cabin fever kicking in.....

I did some shopping yesterday for more bird food, came home and filled all the feeders.
I want to go fishing, but I tried starting the auger yesterday, with the ribs being messed up, I just couldn't pull the cord without it hurting. oh well

drinking coffee, working on the website...nuth'in much else.

Mornin gents, had -20 when I 1st looked. The Bemidji weather station had WC's of -35 & more ~ 6. We had snow most of the day yday too was only around 1" when I went out later on. Stay warm, enjoy the game, & have a good day, everybody.

Had a balmy -3 here. A long way from the 30-something we had yesterday. Luckily no lambs since last Monday but we're on pins and needles with the weather on a roller coaster. Time for it to straighten up and fly right.

We don't feed Ruby much for table scraps. A little plate licking, some occasional steak or lamb fat and I'll share my popcorn watching basketball but otherwise there's not much left for her to eat. The dog farts are lethal sometimes the way it is.

Morning boys! Just another fine Monday in paradise. Glad you are hanging in there Boar, it has to be a tuff time right now. Stupid eagles! i think i wanted them to lose more for the fans then for the team. But oh well, it is what it is. Did some fishing over the weekend and managed to catch some fish too. Da wind was pretty crazy yesterday. Brrrrr. Well have a good one.
