Morning Gents. Another day in paradise. Not much new here. Got the meat thawing out to start making sausage this weekend. Actually plan to start grinding and mixing some tonight so it is ready to smome Saturday mornining. have a good one.

  Great minds think alike jerkbait, mixing up stick mix, salami and brats tomorrow for a stuff and smoke on Saturday.  Morning fellas, steak and taters on the grill tonight, other than that just not looking forward to the old turn your head and cough then grab your ankles routine tomorrow.

3 degrees here today.  I have some outside stuff to do at work today.....   Need I say more??  And yes I do have the long johns on.  Will have them on till April.. or May....    Looking forward to just being home this weekend.  Have Sat and Sun off so will work on things in the house and the nicely heated garage.  Maybe put the tracks on the Grizzly.  Gonna get colder here in the next week too.  Well stay warm all of ya.

Morning all. Yep, like LPS it is 3* here this morning. Still windy and wavy so no ice out front of our place. Got the batch of summer sausage mixed up last night so I can stuff it tonight. It will be ready to go in the smomer first thing in the morning. We will work on grinding and mixing the other 2 tonight then stuff tomorrow. The other 2 fresh sausage so they don't get smoked. Well enjoy the nice crisp day all.

I'm on my way to Mpls to watch a 6 year old Granddaughter sing 2 songs in a Christmas program and then watch her play basketball tomorrow. Painful but no way to convince Grandma were not going.

Anybody remember the name of that outdoor paper that is usually about 4 sections thick? Not Outdoor News, the thicker one. I haven't seen it this year and they always have ads from little guys with new ice fishing inventions. I like looking at those things, that's where I first saw the Slush Copter and even with a reversible Ion I still use the Copter. Great little gadget!

Chilly this a.m. at the ranch. Fell from about 10 down to 8 when I got in from chores. Ground is froze. Chit hauling on the slate mañana. Predicting 4" - 8" of snow for here over the weekend. Hopefully I can get out of the office this afternoon a little early to put the  chains on and what's left of the heat houser. That way maybe it won't get as cold or snow as much so I can tear the yard up while I'm only half froze.

We had 9 early, they're saying 5"-8" for the weekend here. Havin some pc problems so might not be around as much until we get that figured out. Stay warm & enjoy the weekend guys.

Yup 5-8" of snow this weekend for a lot of Minnesota.  Come on ice!  I know next week is going to be arctic-cold but 8" of snow on this inch or less of ice that we currently have is not going to help things along.

With these Temps it should be a light and fluffy snow, so let's hope for some more wind to blow most of it off the lakes. Morning people, had to go see Dr fondler today for the DOT that went ok, got another 2 year pass so I can't complain.  5 lbs of cheddar beer brats along with 5 lbs of summer sausage and cheddar beef sticks are mixed up and melding awaiting to be stuffed and smoked tomorrow .

  The snowblower I can use...I lean on it and it kinda pulls me around. Don't mind blowin' the snow, just thr trying to shovel steps.  neighbor GUY usually does that for me. Now it's time to start my delicious beef soup. mmm mm good.

Man is it good to be back.   Last night as I was browsing the site I  lost contact.  We were without service till early afternoon today.  Now that's roughing it.  I had just one more fart thing to share.  Ok sorry I know I may be overdoing it but I get a kick out of it so I hope you do too.  Well we had the last of the ham and bean soup last night.  The wife still liked it.  I did make one great batch.  I put quite a good jag of Italian Seasoning in it this time.  Thought it needed something green in it.  Maybe that is the secret.  Well about 2 am as we are turning in bed at the same time I whispered "are you awake"??   She said "yes and if you fart one more time I am going to kick you"....  Then we both starting laughing.....   Today we are at the drive in window at the bank with my 94 Ford which I love as my work truck..  Well I am thinking is that the catalytic converter that smells so bad as I am waiting for the transaction to be completed???  I then looked at the wife and said you are farting aren't you.  She couldn't keep a straight face and starting laughing....   Paybacks are a bitch...   lolol   Well it was -14 here this morning and got up to 0 today.  I worked on Auto Jiggers today and hope to get to the wheelers tomorrow morning.  Have to be done by Vikes time.  Fairly calm here so maybe Jerkbait will see some ice up there today.  Well see ya all later...

offdah, got home at 1 last might from my companys xmas party, gift was a shop vac that they bought and I happend to pigk out as a gift. needed one. cool, got up at 9, late as I headed over to my freinds place and procced to slice and dice bear and deer. 5 hours later i got 50 lbs of bear burger and 40 lbs of deer burger. on top of a half hog and quarter beef. just a huge weight off me, beffore Id have to bring in a quarter at a time and debone and grind, then mix and stuff.  gonna be so much easier to just grab a couple bags to thaw and mix it up. to morrow wer stuffing the last half batch of blue hawiian. and then it on to old fashioned weiners with cheese. and some jerkey...

I got all the sausage and sticks vacuum packed yesterday. I'm going out to clean out the deer stands before it gets brutal cold...Mama and I will be running to town after that to get supplies to make stuffed manicotti for dinner tonight.

morning!!!!! got probly 2 inches of fluffy snow!!!!!!! not much on the agenda today!!!!!!!!! play in the snow, maybe drive past the horseshoe chain to see if the lakes are still there. watch the vikes!!!!!!!! enjoy the heat wave!!!!! the rest of the week its serious ice making time!!!!!!!!!
