Wingies...ya baby. So I've used your rib rub twice now and them ribs were awsome. So you put it on chicken to huh? I believe we're having blade steaks this week and I'll put some on them.

Boy, youse muggin's sure do sleep in late! Happy 1st Day of Spring! Just gettin' light out, and 36* with some cloud cover out there to start off the Spring season. Lotsa runnin' to do today. Menard's here I come. Need to get some of that Schulz grass seed, and a couple bags of turfbuilder and some other yard odd's and ends. Wish Menard's carried Turfbuilder.  Still have some snow on the yard yet, want it to dry out a bit and start to shape up so I can get working on it.  Lunch with a buddy, then downtown for a meeting with his holiness, the CAWchester mayor. Hope he has donuts or cawfee. Speaking of...time for another cup...enjoy yer 1st spring day~!  :azn:

Morning boys. Pretty much the same as LPS said here except no trucks on the lake yesterday. Just rangers and wheelers. I am sure if there was an access for the trucks to get on they would have been out there. Boy did it get windy all of the sudden last night. I thought some trees were going to tip over. Going to be warm again the end of the week. Have a good one.

Morning all. Slow going here this am. 32* and partly cloudy, partly sunny. Kinda sorta.  After wrecking my boulevard yard last Fall, the %$#@ Gas company spread dirt, smoothed, and hydro seeded the entire area. Since it was late Fall, the paper mulch crap in the mix didn't get a chance to break down with rains and such. Overwintering with snow just flattened it down on the new grass (which is a lousy thin, fine fescue anyway) and turned it into a solid mat of paper mache covering. All the snow finally melted off yesterday, so while it was still wet, I managed to lightly rake it and get the crap off of it, so the grass and ground was exposed. Put on about 1 lb of my seed mix, and and a blast of starter fertilizer. Watered it down in. Rain later this week, so it'll be worked in good. Should have my new bluegrass mix growing good by mid-April or so, depending on soil temps.
What a friggin' job. Don't ever let the gas co near your lawn, I swear they love tearing it up. My driveway slab had to go to, but they pay and pour a new one immediately after their "new underground lines" are in. Should bill them for the seed, fertilizer, and all my time.  :mad1:

Ya, right! I wish! My leg pains were so bad yday trying to do that I barely made it back in, but it had to be done. I did get grass in last Fall, thanks to the unseasonably warm November temps, and daily waterings. Now to fill in and blend with my mix. Hopefully mine will over take that lime green crap. These are pics from November 25th, two weeks after the grand canyon dig.
