morning!!!!!!!!!!! nice to see the sun for a change after 3 inches of rain the past week. managed to get the lawn mowed. might be my last day in the office for the week. headed to fargo and bismarck tuesday and wednesday, then pending da bosses approval of to nordern minnesota thurs. following tuesday go to sioux falls!

so, yesterday was my 10 year anniversary. 10 years ago yesterday i started down here at he union hall being a full time union thug!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the offer we put in on a new place was accepted!! Contingent on the sale of our current house which will go on the market in the next two days.  Gonna price it to move and hope for the best.  Basically we need to sell by mid-July - yikes.  Already took a couple of truckloads of stuff that was already boxed up out to my mom and dad's place to clean the place up for showing.  Still got a long way to go.  The good news is, the new place is only 2 blocks away - so we can move by the car load for the smaller stuff.

Will need to have a discussion with the neighbor - we're not really friends but we're cordial enough because the kids play together.  They don't keep up their lawn and often have kids toys and garbage in it. It annoys me but it hasn't really affected me until now.  If it stays as-is, I think I stand to lose maybe $5000-10,000 on my resale. No one wants to pay to live next door to that.  Going to kindly offer my assistance in mowing and storing some of the trash they have sitting out.  When they moved in about 3 years ago, they got their hands on some used tires that they intended to paint and make into a planter - cute idea for the country or the right setting, but not in the burbs.  Anyway, they never got the ambition to go through with it and ever since the tires have sat next to their AC unit between our houses.  Those gotta go.  This is adding to my moving stress, just gotta bite the bullet and have the conversation...

4 hours of mowing the lawn yesterday, when I get home from work I'll finish & trim.

Didn't have time for dinner, but Mama brought home some roasted chicken. So that's what I'm having for lunch.

Another wet morning here.  Not much for amounts of rain though.  The week is progressing too.  Won't be long now and the Grandson will be here.  That is always a fun time.  Then we'll go for lots of rides in Grandpa's boat and on Grandpa's 4 wheeler...      Then when Grandpa gets tired it is time for him to have fun doing things with Grandma while Grandpa takes a nap....

Morning. Have fun with the Grandson LPS. Don't forget to have him wear a helmet on the wheeler. The COs like to give out tickets for that. Boy seems like just yesterday that our Grandson was 5. Now he will be 13 in Nov. and the Granddaughter will be 11 in july. Crazy how time flies. Yep another cloudy crappy day and the wind is howling off of the lake. it is angry seas out there this morning. 49* to start the day. Have  a good one all!

Got 48 here & feel like I woke up in a different place as there's no wind or rain.........................yet. It looks like we got about a 1/2" total the last 3-4 days is all, still glad I mowed before it started. Been workin on reseeding a few spots in the yard & tearing apart a old wood dock of dad's that's 1/2 rotten & been sittin down at the lake for too long. Some more of both in store for today if the weather allows. It sounds like the weather starts improving from today on for us. Hope you have a good Tuesday, everyone.

50* here, and rain, rain, rain. That's all it does here in Swampville. Every friggin' day. Might as well give up on trying to grow a garden, except for maybe WATERmelons. This place is gonna wash off the map soon.

made it to Bismarck..........rained on and off all the way to fargo. just windy as hell driving out to Bismarck. not much exciting on the drive other then road construction season is alive and well.

anyone hear about that crash just south of st cloud near opportunity drive. I got detoured around that last nite. man was that a douzy!!!! surprised no one was killed!!!!!!! took an extra 40 minutes to get home. 94 was shut down westbound!!!!!!!!!
