Good morning, 70 and humid already and going up to 87 today. Busy day today, I already paid all the bills next will be to take mom on her Sunday morning shopping, lottery and to the legion to sign the books. Then it's laundry, detail the inside and outside of the car, cut grass, water the new grass and move furniture around in two rooms. Tomorrow is moms bday and the 4th is the sisters bday so there will be some sort of cookout to be done but they are simple dogs and burgers type of people so that'll be easy cooking. Then in two weeks it'll be the nephews wedding so there will be a house full of people staying here for a week so time for me to spend extra time at the shop to stay away from a house full of women here. Y'all have a great day and a safe holiday.
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

I'm on #3 wammermelon so far...I only buy when they're on sale. Ain't payin' $6 for a melon. Those round seedless ones don't seem to have much flavor; last one was lousy. Might haveta pick up one of  the big ol' fashioned torpedo ones someday....

I put some Nords in salt water yesterday Glenn.  Will put them in vinegar today and prepare them for the onions and the good stuff.  Will go get some Silver Satin wine as the Muni is open on Sunday now.  Had ribeyes last night and today is ribs...  What a great life huh???  We only got a few sprinkles yesterday.  Was supposed to rain for hours.  Glad they were wrong.  Have a fire or at least a smoke going now trying to burn up some branches and the straw that was on the septic tank last winter.  Went for a pontoon ride yesterday and will do it again today.

my fish will be hitting the brine later tonite. my process doesn't use water. first round is pickling salt and vinegar. brine is vinegar and sugar with all the fixins!!!!!!!! and no wine. LPS, not sure your gonna find silver satin anymore. they don't make it I guess, but the spirits store can lead you to what most are using these days.

reb.....this watermelon I just cut up was the worse I seen. not ripe at all, very little flavor. paid 3.99 fer it at the local grocery store. the one yearlier in the week was a real good one. I prefer the seedless ones, wont get pregnant!!!!!!! :smoking: :rotflmao: :rotflmao: the cantelope was a bit on the not ripe side to but tasty. man that's my favorite breakfast. sit me in front of a pile of watermelon pineapple cantelope strawberries and blueberries and I could gorge myself.

Don't that pi$$ ya off?! Nothin' worse than a tasteless wammermelon! They've ruined 'em and taken all the flavor out by crossbreeding and making new strains of them, just leave 'em alone!!  I watched a thing on TV about that, they develop them to be a certain size for packing and display, and to hell with the flavor! :angry2:

Mornin all, 56 here. Too much sun & no wind this am, so no :fishing:. I went for a boat ride yesterday late morning & don't know if I've ever seen more people on the lake. We could've used a traffic cop out in the bay yday afternoon as I thought they( 3 sets of tubers & a jet ski) were going to run into each other. Enjoy your day.

I got the last food plot done yesterday, along with weeding the gardens. I was going to start the new service door project...but found I purchased the wrong way opening door (opening to the right when it should have been left) So me and Jr took the door back to Menards. They gave us a store credit and the door we needed was actually on sale for 40 bucks less (same exact door, just opens the other way) So, we got some other things on top of just getting the door.....they had Loyd's baby back pork ribs in the cooler, so we grabbed a few of those.

Anyway, already had my coffee with a couple eggs and sausage, then filled up all the bird feeders.
Now I'm off to start on the door....

Have a great day fella's!

Insulting a fellow MNO member is certainly not the proper way to start a new day, ya flappy-lipped blabbermouth!  :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  Morning, Glenn! Not much going on here...sunny and 68* already. Cops were at neighbors across the street for the screaming matches, fireworks, and drunken party they were having at 11:00 PM. Rental houses just seem to attract trash; even at $1300 a month. Gonna do that PIG STEAK today, (Glenn) which didn't get done yday, due to an afternoon of making a great score on a large series of old books I'd been looking for for the past twenty years.....
Have a good 4th weekend guys, it's bacon, eggs, and toast time.  :coffee:

Morning.  I have the day off but had to come into work for an hour or two to help a little.  Good Union pride in action.   :happy1: Then I am going to spray some 24D and some Roundup on things growing that I don't like.  Man the dock is growing like crazy this year.  Must be the correct conditions.  Looks like a great day here.  77 for a high.  The wife had to work today so I am on my own.  That could be dangerous....   Oh ya have to put the nords in the final brine today too.
