JB............ I'M CONTEPLATING THE SECOND OPINION. thinking of an appointment with the cardiologists!!!!! but he already wants to put me on the treadmill. not happening yet.

Seriously??! Ya wanna be resuscitated, or just let go??? Depends on the quality of life after it or what "state" you will be in....or if yer 99 yo old, probably DNR at that point.

but i wanna be a pain in da azz to people for much longer then 99 years!!!!!!

Started out at 35 here & windy. Heading for the low 40's which I wouldn't have bet on given the snow cover. Sheep should be nice & dry for shearing tomorrow. All out wandering around the lot this a.m.

Based on typical dnr wording I have seem, it is in situations that few would want to be in in the first place.  Actually, should have an advance directive in liu of dnr.

Like, if your heart stops when you are in a coma long term do you want it restarted?

Mornin gents, 22 here now. About the time I got out yday afternoon the wind really picked up, so I didn't stay long. Quite a bit colder today, so I'll have to see if I'm up to givin it a shot today. A couple small projects on the list for today & not much else. Have a good day all

I got my carburator and gas line, I'll install that today on my auger.
Gonna go wash my white commuter car, it's so dirty it looks dark grey.
Fill all the bird feeders.
Then take the wheeler out to the swamp to check the deer stands and check out the property.

Lastly, I'll hit the lake for the evening bite..... pretty full day.

Light snow and some wind here today.  My lungs still don't feel completely healed from the flu episode so I think I will take it easy today.  There is an Outdoor Sports Show in Bemidji at the Sanford Center.  Man I would sure like to go to it.  Maybe tomorrow.  Do I need anything? No Is it fun to look?  Hell ya!

I'm gonna smoke a rack of ribs out on the grill, make a pot of beans, and try to just clear my head while you yahoos screw off all day playing with yer minners and guzzling beer. Spent 8 1/2 hrs non-stop with Social services/attorney/bank/Mom/senior care advisors yday. Didn't have time for lunch, finally grabbed a sandwich for supper when I got done with it all at 7:00 PM. I'm totally wiped out in every way.

Morning....

Not doing to good this morning. Yesterday afternoon, I took a tumble on an ice patch by my barn. Landed on my side hard, and felt some cracking when I landed. Pretty sure I either fractured a rib or two. Very hard to breathe and move around. I don't think that they do anything for ribs anyway, so I'm trying to lay propped up in bed.
It was a tough night of sleep, but pain is less than last night.

Get it looked at/x-rayed. A splintered one can happen, then ya have REAL probs. I expect a report back. Take it easy and feel better! Lotsa Advil. Sure it wasn't the Pnuts in yer pocket cracking?

Ouch! That sounds painful. Not good, HD, take it easy. Know what you mean though as I've just about went down a few times in the last couple days. Really need to watch the spots where it's gotten packed down or melted & refrozen.

Man HD those ribs can really hurt.  They can also poke your lungs so that is a concern.  Get it checked out.  May give you some food pain pills too.  Probably a rib belt too.  That will help them heal straight.

Sorry Reb, just an attempt at a little humor.   The smite wasn't me.   Someone gave me like 99 when I first started on here,   still wondering who that could have been....

HD, Yeah I think they just put you in a corset type thing or wrap you in tape for normal cracked ribs, but an xray might not be a bad idea just in case something out of the ordinary happened.   

I'm taking precautions about slipping on the ice, myself.
