Mornin gents, -15 for us. The wind was really blowing it off the roof. Could see sheets of snow movin across the other side of the bay too, must've done some driftin out there. Ready for some normal temps here too. Will be rounding up the gear again so I can get out :fishing: during the warm up. Not much else new, hope you have a good Monday.

All I can say is:  "Snow more Snow"! :tut:

Hallelujah,
  After a record breakin streak of 9 consecutive days in a row of snow, relief at last. I swear if we had one more day a snow I woulda gone snow blind.

Good Morning.  5 below here in Andover and I see we are in for a warmer week or so.  Going to make 25 pounds of polish sausage today.  going to bring some up to Duluth to pass around to family.  My sisters husband goes to Wisconsin to buy good polish so he's excited to try mine.  I know they have some places in cheesehead land where they do great old school work on sausage for sure.  good luck.

1st off, hope things go well for your Mom coffee. Having been through a lot of that same scenario with my Mom and her congestive heart failure 5 years ago now, my prayers are sent.

Now for the irrelevant stuff: Was -7 here this a.m. on the way into Bugtussle. The thermometer on the garage is seldom consistent and said 0. More lambs over the weekend. Probably a third done. Our percentage has sucked but I'm OK with that. The lambs we have are extremely nice and growing like weeds. We moved a few down to the loafing area yesterday to make room in the lambing barn. The lambs enjoyed having more room and using the hay bunk as a piece of playground equipment.
Time itself is bought and sold, the spreading fear of growing old contains a thousand foolish games that we play. (Neil Young)

Just made the Morning thread before afternoon sets in.  Nice looking sunny day out today.  I have been outside most of the morning and it is cold out.  Gonna be warmer tomorrow.  Speaking of South Dakota I heard they don't tax pensions there when you retire.

The feds get there money, but there isn't a state income tax. There are however all these itty bitty casinos all over. In Sioux falls anyway.

Good eve, we'll mom made it through the double bypass today. The surgeon said everything went smoothly and we should be able to see her in an a hour. Right when we were going to see her they stopped us and told us we that we can't go in. After an hour they came out and told us that she stopped breathing and her heart stopped so they had to perform CPR for about 3 minutes before they got it going again. She is sedated and still intubated for at least 12 to 24 hours until they try letting her breath on her own. The doctor says she is stable but she is very sick so it can go either way. So right now it's just hour by hour for atleast 2 to 3 days. It's been a blur of a days so I'm sure I forgot some of what I was told. I want to thank y'all for all the well wishes and prayers for me and  my family. To top it all off my sister in law had to leave our hospital to go to another hospital because her mother was admitted with internal bleeding, so my nephew and 2 nieces have both of their grandmothers in the ICU of 2 different hospitals on the same day. I think they are pretty numb right about now. Y'all have a good one
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

Praying for your Mom and family Coffee!! Morning boys, actually had 5 above this morning. Windy though, but at least it is going the right direction. A little warm spell should give the wood stove a little break at least. Not much else going on. Have a good one.

With you too, Coffee. Mornin guys, had 9* & a light dusting of snow when I stuck my head out. Some wind here early too, was hopin  it wouldn't be too bad so I could get out & drill a few holes. We'll see, might just fire up the auger to see how much ice we have anyway. Watched a little of the women's snowboarding last night, man that Chloe Kim from Calif. sure made the rest of them look like beginners. Instead she's the 1 that's only 17 & in her first Olympics. Nothin real pressing on the list for the day, have to see how it goes. Have a good 1, all.

Good morning in the evening. Mom was taken to hospital again last nite. Another 4 hr ordeal preceded by by 2 hrs on phone trying to calm her down and make her understand she may need to go somewhere for care. Another 3 hours with cops and ER to try to get a solution.  Started the morning after no sleep again at the attorney's office at 9:30 this morning to file papers (about a foot thick I had to fill out)  for guardianship, conservatorship, and motion to remove half of house from joint tenancy to Mom's name so her rotten husband's rotten kid won't liquitate and discharge all assets when he files the bankruptcy on his Dad he says he is going to do. His Dad owes me/Mom $27,000 that he's gonna try to discharge and probably will be. We filed lien against his half of house for that. Met my buddy at cemetery (He's the superintendent there) to pick a lot for Mom and a headstone, etc for her funeral pre-pay which you want to do before all her money is gone to social services. Grabbed a burger at kwik trip for my lunch, then to my buddie's funeral home to do the pre-planned funeral contract, pick a casket, the service, flowers, all that jazz. There went one huge chunk of money. Then after that two  hours, down to county offices before they closed to pay off real estate taxes in arrears of $5,000. Home in time to catch tail end of 6:00 news and make myself a hot dog quick before I started in doing the guardianship legal and placement papers, which I'm still doing right now at 8:40 PM...
I hope to god no one else ever has to go thru this Sh**; it'll kill ya. Start tomorrow am at hospital to finally get Mom placed somewhere in a memory facility...
Can someone say a prayer for us? Not a religious man anymore, but we need something to get us thru this tomorrow...it's gonna kill me seeing my Mom placed in a home.

Coffee, I hope your Mom is doing OK, I'm thinking of you thru all this.

Prayers sent your way, hope it all works out for you and your mom. Remember to take care of yourself so your not in a bed right next to her, take a packed lunch with you for the day and stay calm so you won't stroke out.
Mom is still the same, on the ventilator and sedated, only time will tell how she recovers. Y'all have a good day.
