Lots a blood in deer camp now, We butchered up the neighbors cow an got a lot to eat.
No way I'd shoot someone's stock! Now the bear I may wrestle??

No, but i plan to ask what's up with the cow.  Very odd to see one roaming around after dark.

The rest of the story, so far.  Yes, it is now a "wild cow".  This spring a neighbor rented his pasture out and one cow got loose and has been roaming since and is very illusive. It has only been spotted once about 2 weeks ago, he has been hitting most of the mineral stations.  I guess the saga will continue.  Maybe someone will get it during deer season.

I can see deadeye now.  Big 12 pointer walks by and he passes in hopes of the big Brownie.  He's on his way to the store to pick up cow calls and cow decoys as I type.

so this begs the question................ is that critter fair game to harvest or does that need to be returned to owner since its running wild!!!!!!!!!

Thats what I wondered too.  When does the cow no longer belong to the farmer?  Maybe the farmer would be up to some wheeling and dealing on said cow???

About 15 years ago, early light....I drew back on a brown calf (that I thought was a deer) but it didn't act like a deer. I let it walk, and later found out that a neighbor had lost a calf.
Would have been some tender meat.....
