Man that sounds great Glenn.  That soup starter is a good idea.  Always better when it is out of the garden.

I love making that kinda stuff. my garage looks like a food processing center come august!!!!!!! usually end up with one of them big canner kettles full when I make this. usually produces 18 qts!!!!!!! and I make it about every other year!!!

Save lotsa money that way!! Gets me thru!!!! Plus the sales.... freezer is full to the brim of sale meat! It'll hold me until way into Spring!

WET.. Lots of standing water after the 10" of snow melted and the rain. The kid was posting as  remi and i came through a 3 acre chunk of woods and the birds poured out just otta range , he managed 1 but there was at least 12 roosters and that many hens that flew out in the swamp. In this area we need a mild winter and it should lights out next year.

That's a bummer- at least the kid got one and there were a fair number of birds seen. The ruffed grouse up here have been quite scarce.
