Nice work guy's.  I've been supporting my wifes diet because of her 2 knee replacements so nothing great to post lately.  I did make some cucumber/daikon Kimchi though for myself [only one that eats it] to support the meals.  It's spicy but good.  good luck.

Reb that looks great.  I love real pea soup with the ham chunks.  Got to have real smoked ham hocks or ham shanks in t hat mix.  No salt needed, everything is about the smoked ham you use for that great flavor.  good luck.

I like to make ham and bean soup and love it.  A guy in the grocery store the last time I was gearing up for it said I should try pea soup with ham.  I have never tried it.   Thanks for bringing it up I will have to attempt it...   Will go with some ham that I put extra smoke on thanks to your tip RH..  Hope the wife is doing well...

I used two big meaty ham shanks with one bag of split peas with that. Some onions, carrots, celery, bay leaf , bit of liquid smoke, simmer couple hours 'til thick....... ;)  I use 3 smoked pig hocks for my bean 'n ham soup, and add chunks of smoked ham....
and Glenn's just a whiney lil' ol' smurf.    :moon:

That looks great Reb. The Linda Blair trailer was for Glenn's benefit. Split pea soup is great stuff, especially washed down with Schmidt Big Mouths. The effect the next day can be devastating however.  :happy1:

Made basketti tonight. Nice to have leftovers to heat up in the microwave after a tincture or two following chores.  :coffee:

I cooked up some steak fajita mix and some beef stew.  I have one vacuum packed and will do the same to the beef stew.  That way I'll just heat it up in boiling water on the ice at Red Lake this weekend.  However I have fish planned for one meal so they better bite  ;)
