Mike as for me, there are only a few roasts that I do in the crock pot.  Beef chuck roast, arm, and bottom round.  others like eye of round, sirloin tip, or top round I do in the smoker or oven medium rare.  good luck.

Those are the only three I will do in the crack pot.  ;D

I do too. Birdeye used to have the frozen peas and pearl onions in sauce; they don't anymore. I buy a bag of each and just mix 'em together in some butter, seasoned salt, and a bit of onion powder.

I fell way behind on the chowing thread. Looks awesome gents, Mike we have roasts from the cow we have and they turn out real good in the crotch pot, as long as the wife doesn't start em to early. Steak fajitas tonight with a side of refried beans and that cream corn bake stuff in the oven.. fart-421.gif

Ya those greek gyros look good.  They used to sell gyro kits in the frozen section but I don't see them anymore.  They had pressed lamb in them.  Didn't care for them much.  love to make my own sometime.  Have to get some ground lamb.  good luck.

They sure look good HD. Gyros are among my faves at the larger co. fairs like Freeborn and Steele. Booths are manned by Greeks.  :happy1:

Ya, stay away from the Olmsted county one. Too spendy and the meat kabobs still have cat hair on them.  :rotflmao:  :puke:

I could eat Gyros everyday.  A buddy  cooked one at every grad party for his kids, I keep telling him he needs more. Trying here, closest I could get was ham and cheesy taters. Although remi being British is doing his best to be Irish for a moment!!

I did some slabs of bacon with the dry rub method and it worked but then I did the Pops Brine and liked it better.  Seemed to have more flavor I thought.  I may do the 2 slabs I have today too now that you got me thinking about it.  I won't be able to smome it for 2 weeks but I think that would be ok..   For breakfast scrambled eggs with ham on a tortilla with onions, tomatoes, cheese and maybe some salsa....
